Bibi Blocksberg séjourne au centre équestre de son amie Tina Martin pendant les vacances d'été. Cette année, il y aura une course de chevaux particulière qui sera organisée par le comte Falko. Les deux amis s'attirent des ennuis lorsque Sophia von Gelenberg, la cousine d'Alexandre, apparaît au château et tente de le convaincre d'aller étudier dans un internat l'année prochaine. Parallèlement, un homme d'affaires nommé Hans Kakmann souhaite acheter le poulain Socrate, appelé "chaussette". Bibi, Tina et Alexandre découvre qu'il n'est pas aussi bon qu'il ne le laisse paraître. Prison warden Dr. Fazetti (Leander Haußmann) is confident about having found a striking new concept for the rehabilitation of prisoners by offering them the chance to take a break from their sentence if only they can find themselves a trustworthy woman who takes care of them and moreover vouches for them. The convicts Steinbock (Til Schweiger) and Hammer-Gerd (Detlev Buck) succeed in doing so. However, since they are tough guys stamped by prison fights they have their issues when it comes to discipline and it is in particular hard for them to have a lady as boss. However, Steinbock falls in love with Emilia (Marie Bäumer) and Hammer-Gerd promotes Maren's career as a singer. (Heike Makatsch, who played Maren, would later in 2009 even play the German actress and singer Hildegard Knef in a biopic called Hilde.) Eventually they have go back behind bars but Emilia and Maren are now waiting for them.

Axel (played by Til Schweiger) has just been dumped by his girlfriend Doro (Katja Riemann), and needs to find a new place to live. He meets Walter (Rufus Beck), a transvestite who teaches straight men how gay men think. Walter talks Axel into joining him and some friends at a gay party afterwards, and tries to convince Axel to move in with him. At the party, Axel decides instead to move in with Walter's best friend, Norbert (Joachim Król), whose boyfriend has just left him. Later, at Axel and Doro's apartment, Norbert tries to seduce Axel while they browse old photos. Just when Norbert has shed all his clothes, Doro shows up at the door, and Axel hastily hides Norbert. Doro explains to Axel that she's expecting his child and wants to give their relationship a second chance. She is not amused to discover a naked man in the wardrobe, but Axel manages to convince her that nothing has happened. Excited about fatherhood and eager to return to Doro, Axel forgets about his new friendship with Norbert.
