Paris Music Hall est un film français réalisé par Stany Cordier, sorti en 1957.

Synopsis

Le publiciste Henri Michelin cherche une nouvelle vedette pour la revue de l'Eden, music-hall dirigé par Bendix. Bendix a un jeune neveu qui a une camarade, Kiki, échotière à «Presse-Soir» et animatrice d'une troupe d'amateurs de talent, hébergée dans un bistrot tenu par les Mouffard: la Vache Enragée. Charles, le décorateur de l'Eden, est venu assister à la représentation de la petit troupe. Il est séduit par le talent et le charme de Kiki; aussi se laisse-t-il facilement convaincre d'aider Kiki et ses camarades à jouer un bon tour à Michelin. On annoncera dans «Presse-Soir» l'arrivée par avion de Lynda Christel, belle inconnue qui doit jouer dans la nouvelle revue. Charles a peint une grande affiche la représentant sous les traits d'Irène, jeune mannequin, qui se prête volontiers à cette comédie. Michelin est obligé d'aller recevoir Lynda-Irène à l'aérodrome. A peine l'a-t-il aperçue qu'elle disparaît.

As a young man, JB (Jack Black) leaves his religious family and oppressive Midwestern town for Hollywood on a quest to form the world's most awesome rock band. There he meets acoustic guitarist KG (Kyle Gass), who is performing on the street, and begins worshipping him as a rock god because of his skills and attitude. KG feeds JB's fantasy by pretending to be famous with a self-named band ("The Kyle Gass Project"), and exploits him to do work such as cleaning his apartment and buying him weed (under the promise that JB can audition for his fictitious band.) After JB learns KG is actually unemployed and living off his parents, the two become equal, and KG apologizes to JB by giving him a brand-new guitar. They create their own band: Tenacious D, named for birthmarks found on their behinds. (JB has a birthmark which says: "Tenac", and KG has a mark which reads: "ious D".
