Synopsis
Alors qu'elle visite l'Italie, une jeune et belle touriste française, Martine, est arrêtée par erreur par la police qui a découvert de la drogue sur elle, malencontreusement placée par une délinquante droguée. Incarcérée dans une prison pour femmes, Martine découvre aussitôt l'enfer carcéral. Comme les autres prisonnières, elle est humiliée et torturée psychologiquement ou physiquement par les gardes et les nonnes. L'injustice et le sadisme qui y règnent amènent les détenues à se rebeller. Maitrisées, elles sont envoyées dans une prison située en pleine mer d'où toute tentative d'évasion semble impossible. La menace et la rébellion grondent.Actors

Set in 1624, a woman had been promised to a powerful family's son at birth falls in love with another man. She refuses to renounce him, and is sent to a nunnery by her shocked parents. Once there, she first undergoes degradation to acclimatize her to convent life, and experiences rampant lesbianism by the repressed nuns. She becomes pregnant by her lover. Finally, her refusal to accede to one nun's lascivious lesbian advances leads to plotting and treachery, and her lover is murdered out of jealousy. Her life now ruined, she further scandalises her family by refusing to take her vows, and leaves the convent, devoting her existence to those in need.

Dodò (Francesco Casale) is a Roman university lecturer who is of ripe age and prominent standing but his life is still under the mandate of his father Alberto (Franco Branciaroli), a retired professor and mature womaniser currently bedridden due to a fracture and living with his nurse Fausta (Cristina Garavaglia). His relationship with his father is further traumatised by Dodò's affliction for his deceased mother. Dodò is married to voluptuous Silvia (Katarzyna Kozaczyk as Katarina Vasilissa), a former student of Alberto but, one day, Silvia leaves Dodò with no obvious reason. Dodò indulges his sexual urges with getting deeper in his obsessive voyeurism. Soon, Silvia comes up with the confession of having an affair with another man. Silvia contrasts Dodò's sentimentalism with her illicit lover's raw sexuality and Dodò starts to think that the other man is actually his father Alberto.

The story involves the power struggles and sexual intrigues of a group of good-looking nuns at the Sant Arcangelo Convent and in particular the machinations of Sister Julia (played by former Miss Great Britain Anne Heywood) as she attempts, by any means possible, to succeed to the position of the dying Mother Superior. The nuns struggle with their vows of celibacy, some inclining to lesbianism whilst others invite male lovers secretly into their cells. Meanwhile a corrupt church hopes to benefit from an aristocratic donation to the Convent, before launching an inquisition into the lubricious and corrupt activities of the inmates of the Convent. There then follow graphic scenes of torture as miscreant nuns are stripped naked and tortured with a variety of devices in order to elicit a confession of their misdemanours. The film ends with a resonant condemnation of the power hungry and corrupt church by Sister Julia after she has been found guilty and compelled to take poison to end her life.

Ilsa (Dyanne Thorne) works as the warden in a psychiatric hospital for young women. Unbeknownst to her, patient Abby is actually the sister of Rosa, one of the hospital's other patients. Abby has lied in order to get herself admitted in order to find out what has become of her sister and to hopefully rescue her. A couple of newlyweds, Olga and Michael, are traveling along the desert and accidentally trespass on the property of Magda Urtado (Ajita Wilson), who is the director of a boot camp of sorts, where the women are treated as slaves and are half naked at all times. Magda keeps Olga in captivity while Michael is free to go, but later on in the film he plans an escape for Olga. She goes to work with the other girls out in the hot desert, and the rest of the film is a series of subplots, including in which a few of the workers are sent out to be hookers, one where a worker participates in a deadly game of cat and mouse, and one where the impotent Governor (Antonio Mayans, billed as Robert Foster) buys a couple of the workers to help him perform. There is also a scene where the Governor is finally able to have sex with his wife, but only while watching one of the females being raped by a dog. Director Jess Franco also stars in the movie as an obviously gay man.

The film tells the story of a group of kids who lives in a township of the poorest and most disreputable streets of Rome. The story is set in the typical climate of the Second World War's end. Thomas is a guy almost adult who lives at the expense of others, like all his other companions, stealing and wasting time. In fact there is nothing in his area, there is no education, no job, no social centers...
