Add to a movie listSeventeen Moments of Spring (Russian: Семнадцать мгновений весны, trans. Semnadtsat mgnoveniy vesny) is a 1973 Soviet twelve-part television miniseries, directed by Tatyana Lioznova and based on the novel of the same title by Yulian Semyonov.
The series portrays the exploits of Maxim Isaev, a Soviet spy operating in Nazi Germany under the name Max Otto von Stierlitz, depicted by Vyacheslav Tikhonov. Stierlitz is tasked with disrupting the negotiations between Karl Wolff and Allen Dulles taking place in Switzerland, aimed at forging a separate peace between Germany and the Western Allies.
The series is considered the most successful Soviet espionage thriller ever made, and is one of the most popular television series in Russian history.
Synopsis
12 February 1945, Germany. Max Otto von Stierlitz, a respected SS-Standartenführer in the Ausland-SD, is in fact Soviet spy Maxim Isaev, who has infiltrated into the German establishment. Though Adolf Hitler is determined to continue the Second World War, Walter Schellenberg convinces Heinrich Himmler to conduct secret negotiations with the Americans, hoping to reach a separate peace deal which would allow the Germans to concentrate all their forces on the Eastern Front. In the meantime, Ernst Kaltenbrunner becomes suspicious of Stierlitz, and orders Heinrich Müller to launch a covert investigation on him.Actors

Andrei Bolkonsky In St. Petersburg of 1805, Pierre Bezukhov, the illegitimate son of a rich nobleman, is introduced to high society. His friend, Prince Andrei Bolkonsky, joins the Imperial Russian Army as aide-de-camp of General Mikhail Kutuzov in the War of the Third Coalition against Napoleon. As Pierre's father recognizes him, he attracts the attention of Hélène Kuragin and marries her, only to discover she is unfaithful to him. Bolkonsky takes part in the failed campaign in Austria, where he witnesses the Battle of Schöngrabern and the Battle of Austerlitz. The prince is badly wounded and is mistaken for dead. His wife dies at childbirth. Bolkonsky returns to his home and meets Natasha Rostova, the young daughter of a count.

Trianon (Boris Klyuev), a willing mole agent of Americans, is providing his CIA diplomatic-immuned handlers in Moscow with information on Soviet supplies to the fictional African state of Nagonia which he obtains through his high-positioned expert job. En juillet 1942, lors de la seconde bataille de Kharkov les défenses soviétiques sont submergées par la contre-attaque allemande. Accompagnées de réfugiés civils, les troupes reculent vers Stalingrad. Parmi les combattants se trouvent le lieutenant Youri Kierżencew, son radiotéléphoniste Anton Valega et Ivan Sedykh, un éclaireur. Pour quelques jours, ils sont hébergés dans la maison d'un ouvrier d'usine des tracteurs de Stalingrad dont la nièce prénommée Lucia travaille dans un hôpital militaire. En compagnie de la jeune femme, le lieutenant Kierżencew fait une promenade le long de la Volga, ils passent près du kourgane Mamaïev. Lucia voit Kierżencew comme quelqu'un de renfermé, peu causant et pragmatique. Lui même avoue que ses centres d’intérêt se sont réduits aux éléments d'organisation militaire tellement que, même en regardant la Lune, il la considère strictement du point de vue stratégique.

In 1942, Nazi Germany attempts to bring neutral Turkey into the war on its side by staging an assassination attempt on Franz von Papen, its own ambassador to the country.
