Sgt. Bilko is a 1996 American comedy film directed by Jonathan Lynn and written by Andy Breckman. It is an adaptation of the iconic 1950s television series The Phil Silvers Show, often informally called Sgt. Bilko, or simply Bilko, and stars Steve Martin, Dan Aykroyd and Phil Hartman.
Synopsis
Master Sergeant Ernest G. Bilko is in charge of the motor pool at Fort Baxter, a small United States Army base that develops new military technology. Exploiting this position, he directs a number of scams, ranging from gambling to renting out military vehicles. His commanding officer, Colonel John Hall, overlooks Bilko's money-making schemes, as he is more concerned with problems in the hovertank that the base is designing.Actors

Carl (Begley), Ed (Balaban), Frank (Hartman), Glen (Burns), and Patti McTeague (Camp) are the greedy relatives of wealthy, wheelchair-bound scrap-metal tycoon Uncle Joe McTeague (Douglas). They continually suck up to him and try to outdo each other in order to inherit his millions when he passes away. Three petty officers have returned from Korea on the battle cruiser USS Rochester where they are due for shore leave in California. Nick Moroni (Remo Germani), a young singer called up, learns that his wife Catherine (Alicia Brandet) from which separate lives, is about to leave for America bringing with her the son born of their union; so he abducts the baby and takes him to the police station, charging the soldier Piscitello (Franco Franchi) to keep him well hidden. In Korea, AD 668. Kim Beob-min (Hwang Jung-min) is the king of the small southern Korean state of Shilla and makes a deal with China's Tang dynasty officials to have a combined strike against the larger northern Korean state of Goguryeo. The conditions of the agreement involve Shilla being given back the Korean state of Baekje. Upon the United States entry into World War I, the first American units to arrive at the front in France are veteran Marine companies, one of which is commanded by captain Flagg, along with his Lieutenants, Moore and Aldrich. Flagg has developed a romantic relationship with the daughter of the local innkeeper, Charmaine, and resumes their relationship after returning from the front.
