Sharknado 4 (Sharknado: The 4th Awakens) est un téléfilm américain de science-fiction diffusé le 31 juillet 2016 sur Syfy. Il s'agit du quatrième volet de la série de films Sharknado.
Synopsis
L'histoire se déroule cinq ans après les événements de Sharknado 3. La tempête porteuse de requins tueurs est de retour et la cible des squales est à présent Las Vegas. Après avoir ravagé la ville, le Sharknado se déplace et frappe plusieurs états du centre des États-Unis, sans façade maritime, qui n'ont pas l'habitude des cyclones se formant au-dessus de la mer, mais plutôt des tornades continentales. En se déplaçant et frappant diverses installations (barrage Hoover, champ de pétrole, transformateur électrique, centrale nucléaire), la tornade change de nature en se chargeant de matières de plus en plus dangereuses : poussières, pierres, pétrole, feu, électricité à haute tension, et même radioactivité. Toute la famille Shepard, enfin réunie, va devoir unir ses forces pour en venir à bout.Actors

A freak cyclone hits Los Angeles causing man-eating sharks to be scooped up in water spouts and flood the city with shark-infested seawater. Bar-owner and surfer Fin sets out with his friends, Baz, Nova, and George, to rescue his estranged wife, April, and their teenage daughter, Claudia, after the bar and boardwalk is destroyed in flooding. While heading to April's home, the group stops in a freeway to save people as flooding causes sharks to attack. George is killed and the group learns of a tornado warning. They arrive at April's house just before the first floor is flooded and shark-infested. Collin, April's boyfriend, is eaten by sharks, but the rest of the group escape unharmed.

Invité à Londres par le gouvernement britannique pour participer à une conférence de l'OTAN comme spécialiste en combat contre les requins, Fin est entraîné par Nova à explorer un temple souterrain situé sous Stonehenge. Des peintures rupestres leur apprennent que l'humanité a déjà été confrontée aux Sharknado à la préhistoire, mais les humains ont conçu un artefact (en forme d'aileron dorsal de requin) pour contrôler ces tornades. En s'en emparant, Fin et Nova déclenchent involontairement un Sharkado mondial qui frappe successivement les plus grandes villes du monde : Londres, Rio de Janeiro, Rome, Tokyo... Leur fils Gil ayant été aspiré par la tornade à Londres, Fin et sa femme April la poursuivent à travers le monde, pour tenter de sauver leur fils et empêcher la fin du monde.

Fin Shepard and his ex-wife April Wexler are flying to New York City to promote How to Survive a Sharknado and Other Unnatural Disasters, a book April has written about the Los Angeles sharknado. As the plane comes in for a landing through a storm, it is battered by airborne sharks, losing an engine. Sharks enter the plane, killing passengers and crew, including both pilots. While Fin successfully lands the plane, April's hand is bitten off by a shark while she attempts to shoot it with an air marshal's handgun.

In Romania, a female anaconda and a male anaconda captured, are being held in a genetic research facility, Wexel Hall for experimentation. The research project is led by Dr. Amanda Hayes (Crystal Allen) and funded by J.D. Murdoch (John Rhys-Davies), a well-known industrialist. While visiting the facility, Murdoch agitates the male anaconda with a large flashlight, and has it gassed to calm it down. However, as Murdoch, his assistant Pinkus (Ryan McCluskey) and a scientist leave, the anaconda breaks through his enclosure's wall. As it escapes, it kills many of the people working in the lab, though Cupboard escapes the destruction. In looking through the facility, Amanda and another researcher realize that the second (Queen) anaconda has also escaped. Murdoch calls in a team of animal hunters, led by Hammett (David Hasselhoff), to capture both snakes. Amanda and Pinkus go with them. At a small farm in the middle of the woods, the owner is eaten alive by one of the snakes.

Two people disappear along the Appalachian Trail: a young man jogging with his girlfriend and a hermit who rarely leaves his home. Sheriff Grady Barnes (Gary Busey) finds a trail in the woods which leads him to parts of the hermit's body. That night, young Roy Satterly (Ty Wood) is reading by flashlight when a Bengal tiger briefly appears in front of his bedroom window. In the morning, his mother, Rose (Marina Stephenson Kerr), finds him sleepwalking in the woods in front of their house. A cast taken at the next victim's scene points to a tiger as the hermit's killer, so Sheriff Barnes holds a press conference to warn the public. The tiger visits Roy's home again that night.
