Add to a movie listSookha (English: The Famine) is a 1983 Hindi drama film directed by M. S. Sathyu, starring Pankaj Dheer and Anant Nag. Based on a story by U. R. Ananthamurthy about politics of famine in Karnataka. An idealistic officers eventually succumbs to bureaucratic apathy. Famine relief arrives, but too late.
The Kannada version the film titled Bara was released in 1980, and had won National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Kannada. However, unlike the Kannada version, the film couldn't get a theatrical release, later it was shown on state-run Doordarshan channel.
At the 31st National Film Awards, it won the award for Best Feature Film on National Integration. Also at the 31st Filmfare Awards, it was awarded Filmfare Critics Award for Best Movie.

The film opens with a man, later revealed to be named BJ, in a morgue who has sex with a corpse that has a biohazard symbol on the toe tag; afterward, he handles an empty test tube while washing up. Later, at a party, Samantha unsuccessfully attempts to contact her ex-girlfriend Nikki and meets with her friend Alice, who encourages Samantha to drink to forget about her recent break-up. Riley, who has an unrequited crush on Samantha, and Zain attempt to flirt with her, but Samantha brushes them off and excuses herself. She eventually gives in to Alice's intense pressure and becomes drunk. BJ introduces himself to Samantha and hands her a drink that he claims she dropped. Samantha, too drunk to know whether it is her drink or not, accepts it. Although she says she is a lesbian who is already involved in a relationship, as a result from being drunk and drugged, she agrees to have intercourse with BJ. From inside his car, Samantha begs BJ to stop and eventually blacks out.

Passengers on a plane headed from the Midwest to the West Coast (Winnipeg to Vancouver in the book; Minneapolis to Seattle in the film) get quite ill after eating the chicken pot pie entree. Both pilots also ate the chicken. A man who has not flown since the Vietnam War (single-engine planes in the book, helicopter/war choppers in the film) is reluctantly pressed into flying the plane, where he makes a very neurotic, but survivable landing.

The film is divided into five days. On the first day the protagonists, screenwriters Lars and Niels lose the only copy of a film script (Kommisæren Og Luderen, "The Policeman and the Whore", a reference to The Element of Crime). They begin to write a new script about an epidemic: the outbreak of a plague-like disease. The protagonist is a doctor, Mesmer, who, against the will of the Faculty of Medicine of an unknown city, goes to the countryside to help people. During the next days, the facts of the script join the real-life events in which a similar disease starts to spread. Lars and Niels go to Germany, where they meet a man who describes the Allied bombing of Cologne during the Second World War.

L'agence crypto-zoologique Monarch déploie de nombreux moyens pour combattre des créatures de tailles divines, appelées Titans. Ces derniers réapparaissent petit à petit des entrailles de la terre. Elle a mis au point l'Orca, jadis imaginé avec son ex-mari Mark, une machine qui permet de capter et reproduire les signaux émis par les Titans. Son invention attire des convoitises. Emma entraine avec elle sa fille Madison. Son père, Mark va tout faire pour retrouver sa fille, tout en tentant de survivre dans un monde envahi de monstres. Godzilla va ainsi devoir compter sur une alliée, le papillon géant Mothra pour affronter les 2 menaces que représentent le ptérosaure super-rapide Rodan, ainsi que son pire ennemi, le dragon à trois têtes King Ghidorah, qui est l'Alpha des Titans. Ces anciennes super-espèces veulent toutes la suprématie et mettent en danger la survie de l'humanité. Alors qu'un combat apocalyptique se prépare, Godzilla, seul prétendant au titre capable de rivaliser avec l'Alpha, aidé des humains, devra s'imposer et ainsi affirmer sa place en tant que roi des monstres.

After a zombie apocalypse has overtaken the entire New England area, two former baseball players, Ben (Jeremy Gardner) and Mickey (Adam Cronheim), travel the back-roads of Connecticut with no destination in mind. Their backstory reveals that they were trapped in a house in Massachusetts, along with Mickey's family, for three months. Mickey's father, mother and brother were killed before they figured out how to escape. Since then, Ben opposes sleeping indoors and the two have had many arguments regarding the matter. While Ben quickly adapts to the "hunter-gatherer" and constantly on the road lifestyle, Mickey is almost the opposite, refusing to face the situation and longs for a "normal" life. He refuses to kill zombies and learn to fish, and is always listening to his CD player with headphones on, burning through batteries and distracting himself from his surroundings, against Ben's advice.
