Space Chimps 2: Zartog Strikes Back is a 2010 American computer-animated direct to video science fiction comedy film and the sequel to the 2008 film Space Chimps. The film was directed and produced by John H. Williams, written by Rob Moreland, with animation by Vanguard Animation and Prana Studios.
Synopsis
Space Chimps 2 takes place a few days after the first film. It follows Comet, the techno chimp who longs to be taken as a full-fledged space chimp. In the last film, he never got a chance to go to space. However, he finds out that he was cut from the mission due to the budget cuts and no one takes him seriously again. He gets on the rocket ship and he accidentally launches the ship into space. Comet journeys to Planet Malgor where he bonds with the alien Kilowatt, and lives out his ultimate fantasy.Actors

The film begins with Ham III, grandson of the first chimpanzee in space, being a cannonball at his circus and later being criticized by his grandfather's friend Houston. Meanwhile, an unmanned NASA space probe called the Infinity is dragged into an intergalactic wormhole, and crash-lands on an Earth-like planet on the other side of the galaxy. Zartog, an evil-minded inhabitant, accidentally discovers how to take manual control of the on-board machinery and uses it to enslave the population.

Tom and Jerry have wrecked the house they lived in during a frantic Tom-Jerry-esque chase, so they enter a race/reality show titled the "Fabulous Super Race", which offers the race-winner a luxurious mansion. Tom and Jerry, having built their own customized vehicles from scrap materials in a junk yard, present themselves to J.W., producer and head of Globwobbler Studios, and his assistant Irving, who are hosting the race. Race commentators are Biff Buzzard and Buzz Blister. The two then meet the contestants: Steed, Grammy, Gorthan, Soccer Mom, and Dr. Professor. Dr. Professor is eliminated before the race when he and his vehicle are vaporized by anti-matter.

Tom is chasing Jerry around using established plot and action devices until they arrive at the "Space Place". The staff there is testing dehydrated food. It is announced that Buzz Blister (voiced by Jess Harnell) and Biff Buzzard (voiced by Billy West) are going to Mars. In the process, Jerry and Tom are caught during the speech (first misunderstood as aliens due to Tom getting hit by green paint backstage), and they try to capture them, but only Tom is caught and thrown out. During the dehydrated food testing, Jerry knocks over a cup in the process, and all the food comes to life, and as a result, the food goes all over the place in an explosion. Soon the staff tries to catch Jerry, but figure only Tom can catch him, so they bring him back to the base and give him a mission to "eliminate" Jerry, and at the end of the chase, they are chased into a rocket ending up at Mars. They discover a giant black wall, similar to the black monolith in the Space Odyssey series. A green female alien named Peep (voiced by Kathryn Fiore) arrives with an alien dog, Ubu and two more Martians arrive. Jerry is mistaken for the “Great Gloop”. After much calamity and a discovery that Jerry is not the Gloop, Tom, Jerry and Peep (since she knows this was all a misunderstanding and trusted Jerry from the very beginning) steal a flying saucer, so they can get back to Earth and warn everyone about a potential attack by the Martians. They manage to stop them, but the “Invince-a-tron” eventually arrives on Earth and begins to suck everyone up with its vacuum. Tom, Jerry, and Peep stop Invince-a-tron, using a bone to get Spike into his brain and make it malfunction, much to Spike's nervous breakdown in the end. At the end they are thanked and awarded with a Hummer by Arnold Schwarzenegger (uncredited) as the U.S. president. Before they could even drive it, they are attacked by the Invince-a-tron again but this time controlled by Spike (mad for the destruction of his precious bone) who chases after them. Peep comes with the ship and rescues Jerry, but leaves Tom behind (for no apparent reason). Peep kisses Jerry with him being blushed as the iris closes in. At the ending scene, Biff and Buzz are seen cleaning the mess as punishment for lying that there is no life on Mars, soon they start to argue about it and fight as Tom is being chased by the Spike controlled Invince-a-tron in the background.

Wolf (Patrick Warburton), Granny (Glenn Close), and Twitchy (Cory Edwards) are on a rescue mission to save Hansel and Gretel (Bill Hader and Amy Poehler) from an evil witch named Verushka (Joan Cusack). The plan goes wrong however and Granny is kidnapped as well. Meanwhile, Red (Hayden Panettiere) is in training with a mysterious group called the Sisters of the Hood where she learns that a secret all powerful truffle recipe has been stolen. She teams up with Wolf and Twitchy to find the recipe and save her grandma, but she and Wolf can't get along and the team splits up. Meanwhile, Verushka, who stole the truffle recipe, tries to force Granny into making it for her.

Charlotte, a young woman, is abducted by Baron Meier Link, a vampire nobleman who is known not to harm humans needlessly. Charlotte's father hires D, a dhampir, to find her and kill her humanely if she turns into a vampire. At the same time, her older brother also hires the notorious Marcus brothers for backup. The gang is enjoying a winter festival, when a living snowman arrives and chases everyone off. Curious, the gang decides to investigate in a nearby toy factory, which hides a deadly secret. The gang soon finds out they are trapped inside of the toy store, because the snowman is waiting for them outside. They then meet the owner, Fabian Menkle, who explains to them about the store's haunted clock tower and that the Menkle family toy store was cursed a long time ago by the Sinister Snowman. Later, the snowman is able to get inside the factory and tries to chase Shaggy and Scooby. Just when they think they are doomed, the real Santa Claus shows up, and gets the haunted clock tower working again, which had not been working for many centuries. The snowman is melted by the loud clock tower, and is found out to be none other than Fabian Menkle himself, who was trying to rob the toy store of its money. He tried to make his uncle look crazy so he could shut down the store and get all the rest of the money.
