Synopsis
Nic, adolescent, et son petit frère Agostino passent une dizaine de jours de vacances dans un terrain de camping en Maremme avec leur père. Leur mère, vivant des relations difficiles avec le père qui est violent, les rejoint. Nic rencontre Marie et sa jeune sœur Patty, les premiers contacts sont difficiles, une bagarre éclate entre Nic et Lee, le fils de l'épicier du camping, mais intrigué et séduit par Marie, Nic présente ses excuses et entre dans la petite bande. Marie est perturbée, à la recherche de son père à propos duquel sa mère cache un secret.Actors

The story begins in Rwanda where a football fanatic Dudu Kayenzi is teaching a group of children how to make an "organic football" using a UN condom, plastic bag and string. Meanwhile, his best friend and football prodigy Fabrice longs to pursue his ambition of becoming an association football legend and is seen breaking the local record for the most continuous football kick-ups. When Fabrice is offered the chance to audition for the opening ceremony of the 2010 Football World Cup in South Africa, he fabricates a plan to sneak past his strict, wealthy parents with Dudu and Dudu's sister Beatrice. Beatrice wishes to become a doctor and find a cure for AIDS. Fabrice tries to express his love of football to his mother, but she simply replies "Africa doesn't need dreams, it needs to wake up".

Romain est un jeune adolescent atteint depuis sa naissance de Xeroderma pigmentosum, une maladie génétique extrêmement rare qui le contraint notamment à rester à l'abri de la lumière du jour en raison des rayons ultraviolets qui provoquent des dommages à l'ADN que ses cellules ne peuvent naturellement réparer, entrainant irrémédiablement des cancers cutanés multiples. Il est suivi par le dermatologue David Assoland avec lequel il a noué au cours des années une relation d'autant plus filiale qu'il vit seul avec sa mère. David cependant, après une longue carrière au CHU de Bayonne obtient enfin un poste convoité depuis de nombreuses années à l'Organisation mondiale de la santé à Genève. Très attaché à cet enfant, bien que relativement distant de sa propre famille, il ne sait ni ne réussit à lui dire qu'il va devoir partir. Son successeur à la tête du service est une femme, Carlotta Granié, avec laquelle il entretient des rapports conflictuels, ne réussissant pas à passer la main.

The film is set in southwest France in 1962. François (Gaël Morel), a shy young man from the lower middle class, is working towards his high school diploma. Laure is a 10-year-old child whose family moves to a new address in Paris. One day Laure sees a group of boys playing outside the window and goes to play with them, but they disappear quickly. Instead, Laure meets Lisa, a neighborhood girl, and Laure introduces himself as Mikäel. Lisa then introduces Mikäel to the rest of the neighborhood children stating that "he" is the new kid in the apartment complex. A bath scene in the film reveals that Mikäel has a vagina, and a following scene confirms that Mikäel was assigned female at birth as his mom addresses him and his sister as "girls." Mikäel becomes friends with Lisa and the boys and tries to hide his genitalia to appear like a boy (make it seem that he has a penis). At one point this leads Mikäel to pee his pants, which originally makes him embarrassed, but is soon forgotten. As they all play, Lisa and Mikäel develop crushes on each other and after swimming one day, Lisa kisses him. At this point, Mikäel also seems to be accepted into the group of boys.

In the small town of Endora, Iowa, Gilbert Grape (Johnny Depp) is busy caring for Arnie (Leonardo DiCaprio), his brother with a developmental disability, as they wait for the many tourists' trailers to pass through town during their "yearly ritual" of camping at a nearby recreational area. Samia Zibra, jeune et inexpérimentée, débute comme conseillère principale d'éducation (CPE). Originaire de l'Ardèche, elle demande un poste en région parisienne pour des raisons particulières. Elle découvre ainsi le collège en zone d'éducation prioritaire (ZEP) de la cité des Francs-Moisins, à Saint-Denis en Seine-Saint-Denis. Elle y rencontre de nombreux problèmes, notamment le manque de discipline et la réalité sociale du quartier. Elle découvre cependant l'incroyable vitalité et l'humour (des élèves comme des surveillants) qui règnent dans l'établissement. Dans l'équipe des surveillants, Samia peut notamment compter sur Moussa, le « Grand » du quartier, et Dylan, le chambreur. Samia va peu à peu s'adapter à ce nouvel univers. Sa situation personnelle la rapproche de Yanis, un élève vif et intelligent avec un potentiel gâché par son insolence et mis dans la classe des « SOP » (sans options). Samia va cependant essayer de le sortir de son échec scolaire pour lui proposer un avenir meilleur.
