Swing It, Sailor! is a 1938 American film directed by actor/screenwriter Raymond Cannon.

Synopsis

Sailor Husky proposes marriage to every girl, in every port. He can't swim, and is ready to be discharged, from the Navy, but he's always helping his pal Pete. Pete would hate to see Husky leave, as Pete have to do all the work himself. Husky's new girl is Myrtle, who goes through men like Kleenex, trolling for a well-heeled catch. Pete tries to save his friend from her; but, is it only for himself? It looks like they are in for a fight.

The epic film begins as a World War I American troop ship is torpedoed, and many soldiers are trapped below the deck. Robeson plays Jericho Jackson, a medical student drafted into the war. The boys' friend, Dave Moreno, is being held for treason by the U.S. Air Force. Slip and Sach go to headquarters to help Dave, but mistakenly enlist. Sach is also mistakenly assigned to a WAF barracks. When the boys finally do visit Dave he tells them he does not need help, as he is secretly being used to capture enemy agents. Undeterred by Dave's words, the boys continue to investigate and Slip and Sach wind up airborne. Good luck allows them to land safely, just where the spies are hiding out. They capture the spies and Dave's true mission is revealed.
