Add to a movie listTana, is known as the first Albanian feature film, produced by the "New Albania" Film Studio (Albanian: Kinostudio "Shqipëria e Re"). The movie premiered on 17 August 1958. The film was directed by Kristaq Dhamo, and written by Kristaq Dhamo, Fatmir Gjata, and Nasho Jorgaqi. The music was also composed by Çesk Zadeja. The film was entered into the 1st Moscow International Film Festival.
Synopsis
The film is based on a Fatmir Gjata's screenplay. Gjata had written a novel with the same title earlier. The events evolve in the 1950s. The main character, Tana, is a smart, outgoing and progressive young woman. She is in love with Stefan (Naim Frashëri) and they both live in an unnamed mountain village in Albania. Tana has to face the old mentality of her old grandfather and she also has to fight the jealousy of Lefter (Kadri Roshi). It is a love game, while socialist progress is highlighted as is often in the socialist realism.Actors

Elizabeth (Sukumari) is a physical education instructor at a college and lives with her son Emil (Rahman) and unmarried brother Vakkachan (Nedumudi Venu). She is well loved and respected by her students. When she retires students suggest her to start a beauty parlour to keep her active and be in touch with them. Emil, who wants to upgrade his still photography business to video-graphy and Vakkachan who want to expand his pawn brokerage are apprehensive at first but then decides to help out. They start Eve's beauty parlour at home with all fanfare. But the appointed beautician turns out to be completely incompetent with some disastrous skin rash, hair dye incidents. Even her beloved students avoid her and an upset Elizabeth dismisses the beautician. Emil is sympathetic and advertises for a beautician through news papers.

Leon de Severac is fed up with his daughter Jacqueline, who is constantly seducing men. Hoping to discourage her from her flirtatious behavior, he tells her the story of Zareda, an attractive fortune teller who is having an affair with Ivan de Maupin. Ivan's father, the Baron, lusts after her as well and Ivan eventually grows convinced that Zareda is cheating on him. Giving her up, he leaves for war shortly after. A short period later, Zareda finds out the Baron is about to poison Marquis Ferroni. Trying to save the marquis, she switches the wine glasses and the Baron dies instead.
