Tangerine is a 2015 American comedy-drama film written and directed by Sean S. Baker and Chris Bergoch. Baker was inspired to make the film by a donut shop near his home in Hollywood, CA. Starring Kitana Kiki Rodriguez, Mya Taylor, and James Ransone, the film had its world premiere at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival on January 23, 2015.

On Christmas Eve, trans woman sex worker Sin-Dee Rella, who has just finished a twenty-eight day prison sentence, meets her best friend Alexandra, also a trans sex worker, at Donut Time in Hollywood. Alexandra informs Sin-Dee that her boyfriend and pimp Chester has been cheating on her with a white woman, Dinah. Outraged, Sin-Dee storms out of Donut Time to search the neighborhood for Chester and Dinah, the "fish" he has been sleeping with.
