Starring Paolo Bonolis, Sergio Rubini and Stefania Rocca, the film mocks the Italian political class and its hypocrisy. The zealot politician Massimo (Paolo Bonolis), proponent of a law about the defense of family, has a secret flirt with Martina, a young emerging actress (Elena Santarelli). To divert any suspicions, he brings his family on holiday to Paris, leaving his beloved looked after by his driver, Mariano (Sergio Rubini). After photos portraying Mariano and Martina as lovers are published on local gossip magazines, Mariano's wife faints, is hospitalized and leaves him. Massimo comes back to Rome thinking to be out of danger, but Massimo and Martina will revenge on him. The happy ending comes on Christmas's eve when the truth bobs up.

On returning to Germany, they learn that Napoleon (Heinrich Schweiger) will meet with Elisa (accompanied by Leduc) in Giessen, Grand Duchy of Hesse and see this as a chance to settle their scores with Leduc.

Un château dans une île de Suède. Une curieuse famille : Hugo, un hobereau autocrate ; Eléonore, sa femme ; Agathe, sa sœur, vieille fille attachée aux traditions ; Sébastien, frère d'Eléonore, à qui le lie une affection trouble ; une grand-mère tombée en enfance. Tout ce monde costumé comme au XIXe siècle. Voilà ce que trouve en arrivant le jeune Eric, cousin de Hugo, qui vient profiter de l'hospitalité bien connue de la famille. Très vite, Eléonore lui laisse entendre que ses faveurs s'accordent volontiers. Puis Eric découvre que la première femme de Hugo, Ophélie, devenue folle, vit en recluse dans le château. Eléonore n'est donc pas la femme légitime de Hugo et Eric lui propose de fuir avec lui. Mais de cela, pas question : Eléonore n'a aucune envie de fuir. Hugo, qui a découvert (ou provoqué) la liaison, veut tuer Eric. Agathe et Sébastien partagent son point de vue. Finalement, Eric s'enfuit sur le lac à moitié gelé et tombe d'épuisement aux pieds d'un paysan.
