Synopsis
Pooch is a participant in a number of track and field events. His first event is a sprinting competition. Because of poor signaling from the signal man, Pooch runs but the other competitors remain in their starting position. Pooch reaches the finish line but fails to come across as the tape slings him back to the starting line. The signal man restarts the race, and this time all the runners make their move. Pooch again reaches the finish line but again gets sling back by the tape. His second flight also causes him to push back the other runners. Pooch resumes his run and wins the race, thanks to the absence of the tape at the end of the track.Comments

A boy, Bobby, gets a lesson in school about how to properly massage his gums to take care of his teeth. After class is dismissed, Bobby is offered by his friends in to an ice cream shop to have a sundae and go fishing. Bobby refuses saying, "My father won't let me." On the way home, Bobby finds a beagle and takes him home. They sneak into the house where Bobby cleans him up in order to convince his father to keep him. Bobby's father scares the dog away and the dog hides in the house. Muttering about his son, he steps on a rollerskate and falls down the stairs. He walks back upstairs to Bobby's room to punish him, but Bobby is not there and he begins looking for him. The gnomes and elves on the wallpaper in Bobby's room come alive and knock Bobby's father unconscious and take him into the forest scene in the wallpaper.

Pooch (now wearing shoes and a hat) is a penniless vagabond wondering the countryside, and carrying a sack on the end of a stick. On his way, he comes across his sweetheart the girl coonhound (now having lighter fur) who is milking a cow. After they greet each other, Pooch sings the song A Great Big Bunch of You. Moments later, an old dog, who is the girl coonhound's employer, shows up and isn't happy to see him. The old dog hurls Pooch past the fences bordering the farmlands where he lands next to a sign saying "No tramps allowed."

Pooch is walking around in the forest. Though he whistles sometimes, he does not have any lines in this film. On his way, he encounters a young featherless bird that is trying to get a worm. But the worm suddenly reverses direction and swallows the bird. Pooch, who is sympathetic for the little fowl, extracts the bird from within the worm.

Mickey est dans son laboratoire et prépare d'après un vieux grimoire de Recettes anciennes, une potion de courage. Aspergé de potion, le moucheron devient fort, se libère et prend le dessus sur l'araignée. Mickey est content du résultat mais cherche un nouveau cobaye. dans la salle, un chat noir et blanc est la poursuite d'une souris brune. Mickey met de la potion sur la souris. Elle applique alors au chat une correction digne d'un match de catch. Réfugié dehors, le chat renverse la gamelle de Pluto qui se met à le poursuivre.

Mickey est en train de lire une histoire d'épouvante au coin du feu avec à ses côtés Pluto. Ils sont surpris par un bruit à l'extérieur. Ce sont les pleurs d'un bébé souris déposé sous le porche d'entrée. Mickey recueille le souriceau et tente de le distraire afin qu'il arrête de pleurer. Il se lance dans une imitation de Charles Chaplin, puis joue à saute-mouton avec un jouet à presser. Mickey réalise ensuite que le petit a simplement faim. Il va donc dans la cuisine et prépare une bouteille de lait. Pendant ce temps, Pluto découvre l'invité et tente à son tour de divertir le bambin. Le chien fait comme son maître et court avec des jouets, mais sans grand résultat. Mickey, de son côté, n'est pas en reste avec la bouteille qui, à cause de la chaleur, lui aspire le nez, le faisant ressembler à Jimmy Durante.

Fred recently has had an extreme obsession with nets, as most of his plans to catch the monsters Mystery Inc. encounter are caught with them. To get them out of his mind, Scooby and the gang head to a beach in Florida, where Daphne's uncle Sandy owns a hotel, only to find that it is being haunted by a shape-shifting sea monster that is stealing jewelry. During their first encounter with it, Fred tries to use a net, but to no avail. Daphne tries to help Fred with his net problem by getting him to relax in an area without nets, which is difficult, since the lobby and beach have nets all over the place.

Scooby and Shaggy arrive in Arabia on a magic carpet to become royal food-tasters for the young Caliph. They are soon hired, but they eat everything in sight and leave no food for the Caliph. The Caliph who is looking for a bride, falls in love with the disguised Shaggy and decides that they shall be married.
