Synopsis
Le film raconte l'ascension et la chute de Lee Doo-sam (Song Kang-ho), un petit malfrat de Busan, qui commence par aider un groupe de trafiquants de drogues rencontré par hasard. Astucieux et plein d'idées, il intègre ce milieu, gravit peu à peu les échelons de la mafia et développe son propre trafic, jusqu'à bâtir un empire de la drogue du Japon à Busan. Il mène alors une double vie : homme respecté, promoteur du développement rural et national le jour, infâme seigneur de la drogue la nuit... jusqu'à sa chute, entraînant celle de nombreux complices, hauts fonctionnaires corrompus.Actors

Ryu (Shin Ha-kyun), is a deaf-mute man working in a factory to support his ailing sister (Im Ji-eun), who is in desperate need of a kidney transplant. As Ryu is not a match, and he is laid off from his job, Ryu contacts a black market organ dealer, and agrees to exchange his severance money and one of his own kidneys in exchange for a matching one. The dealers perform the operation, but disappear after taking Ryu's kidney and money. Three weeks later, Ryu learns from his doctor that a donor has been found, but Ryu is unable to afford the operation now.

Tristan Price faite avec famille et amis sont 25ème anniversaire. Pour prolonger la soirée son petit frère Hayden le conduit à une fête privée chez un inconnu. Michael Dixon (Cuba Gooding, Jr.) is an agent working linewatch for the United States Border Patrol on the U.S. Mexico Border in New Mexico. Cha Tae-sik leads a quiet life running a pawnshop. His only friend is a little girl, So-mi, who lives next door. So-mi's mother, Hyo-jeong, is a heroin addict who steals drugs from a feared organized crime group. She pawns her camera bag to Tae-sik; he does not realize it has the stolen drugs inside. Crime lord Oh Myung-gyu sends his subordinates, brothers Man-Seok and Jong-seok to retrieve the drugs; Jong-seok and his henchman Lum Rowan torture Hyo-jeong to find the drugs' location, then kidnap her and So-mi. Two gangsters, Du-chi and "Bear" go to Tae-sik pawn shop, but Tae-sik easily overpowers them. When he finds that Hyo-jeong and So-mi have been kidnapped, he gives them the bag, and Rowan kills Bear to set him up as the fall guy.
