Buchenwald concentration camp, early 1945. A Polish prisoner named Jankowski, who has been on a death march from Auschwitz, brings a suitcase to the camp. When the inmates in the storage building open it, they discover a three-year-old child. Jankowski tells them he is the son of a couple from the Warsaw Ghetto, both of whom perished. Prisoner Kropinski becomes attached to the boy, and begs Kapo André Höfel to save him. Höfel, who is a member of the camp's secret communist underground, consults with senior member Bochow. He is instructed to send the child on the next transport to Sachsenhausen. Höfel cannot bring himself to do so, and hides him. Jankowski is deported to Sachsenhausen alone.

Lallan Singh (Abhishek Bachchan) is a goon, originally from Bihar but settled in Kolkata, West Bengal because his brother Gopal Singh (Sonu Sood) has left him alone and he had no option of earning back home. He loves, marries and abuses his wife, Shashi Biswas (Rani Mukerji). Michael Mukherjee (Ajay Devgan) is an influential student leader who wants politicians like Prosenjit Bhattacharya (Om Puri) to keep away from college elections. Michael is in love with his neighbour Radhika (Esha Deol) who lives with her uncle and aunt. And then there is Arjun (Vivek Oberoi), carefree and spoiled son of an IAS officer. He wants to relocate to the U.S. for a better future. He falls in love with Mira (Kareena Kapoor), whom he just met. One day, Arjun and Mira get into a quarrel on the road and Mira gets into an auto. Arjun gets lift from Michael to catch up with Mira, who is going that way. Suddenly, Michael is hit by a bullet and he is saved by Arjun. After talking to Michael, Arjun changes his mind and wants to be a politician. Prosenjit is worried when he hears news of students standing in the election. He uses every possible way to get them out of Politics.Firstly he provides scholarship of a prestigious foreign university to Michael. When Michael refuses the bribe, he orders his goon Gopal Singh to take control. Gopal beats some students but faces very strong retaliation from Michael and his fellow students. After that Lallan Singh takes charge and kills Gopal. He kidnaps Arjun and other candidates. However, they manage to escape with the help of Lallan Singh's ally. Lallan follows Arjun and beats him up. While running, Arjun manages to call Michael for help. He comes to rescue Arjun at Howrah Bridge.

In 1991, the governments of the U.S. and China are on the verge of a major trade agreement, with the President of the United States due to visit China to seal the deal. The CIA learns that its agent Tom Bishop (Brad Pitt) has been captured trying to free a Briton, Elizabeth Hadley (Catherine McCormack), from a People's Liberation Army prison in Su Chou near Shanghai, China. Bishop is being questioned under torture and will be executed in 24 hours unless the U.S. government claims him. If the CIA claims Bishop as an agent, they risk jeopardizing the trade agreement. Mostly taking elements from the Third Crusade, King Richard the Lionheart is enlisted in a crusade to bring Jerusalem back into Christian hands in order to get out of a betrothal with Princess Alice of France. Berengaria and Richard fall in love and all the gates of Jerusalem are opened.

A team of Soviet scouts is sent behind enemy lines to find the location of the German armor forces. The Soviets wait until night, and open up with an artillery barrage. As the guns fire, the team advances. The team successfully slips behind enemy lines. Many dramatic scenes follow. In one, a German soldier is captured and interrogated. In another, the team calls an airstrike on German positions, causing great damage and casualties. One man even kills a German soldier with his pistol during the air attack. This tract of scenes finds the main characters successfully finding the location of the German armor. They are eventually cornered in a barn, with Germans attacking on all sides. During the battle, the team leader sends a radio message, telling the location of enemy armor. The team is eventually overrun and wiped out.

L'action se déroule en Tripolitaine, alors province de l'Empire ottoman, à la veille de la Guerre italo-turque (1911-1912). Le fils cadet demeure, a contrario, attaché aux traditions musulmanes. Au cours de ses traversées à cheval dans le désert, Ismail rencontre deux bergères, Gamra et Mnè. Il s'éprend de la dernière. C'est aussi, à ce moment-là, que l'Italie déclare la guerre à la Turquie afin de conquérir la Tripolitaine. La cavalerie turque surgit et réquisitionne préventivement troupeaux et armes appartenant aux tribus. Effrayées, les deux jeunes femmes s'enfuient à travers les dunes. Gamra, aveugle, est mordue par un serpent et décède ensuite. Mnè, à la recherche de secours, est prise par un soldat turc, tandis que la ville de Ksar Karabuli est saccagée par les militaires ottomans. Averti, Ismail parvient à sauver Mnè et la prend sous sa protection. Il la conduit chez lui et la confie à son vieux serviteur Taleb. Rassim, un puissant voisin, convoite la jeune femme : Ismail déjoue ses ruses et le tue. La guerre éclate : Ismail doit abandonner Mnè pour guider, à son corps défendant, l'armée locale contre les Italiens. Cependant, il est rapidement accusé de traîtrise et les Turcs l'emprisonnent au fort de Kassarmut. Dégradé, Ismail est condamné à mort. N'écoutant que ses sentiments, Mnè, accompagnée de Taleb, entreprend de le sauver. Or, le fort est maintenant sévèrement bombardé par les détachements italiens et, de fait, l'exécution d'Ismail ne peut avoir lieu. Dans le tumulte créé par les affrontements armés, Ismail et Mnè se retrouvent et s'étreignent. Un carton apparaît alors, mentionnant ceci : "Le drapeau italien flotte sur Kassarmut.

The story centers around three seamen who conduct shady business on board their vessel, Sandy Hook. The film starts with two of them, Tom Jansen (Helge Jordal) and Sverre (Hans Ola Sørlie), taking tourists on a polar bear safari. During this trip and at a later scene at a pub in Longyearbyen, where Tom's girlfriend, Eva Jelseth (Kjersti Holmen) is introduced, the viewers are briefed on the politics of Svalbard and the large Soviet presence. The third seaman, Lars (Sverre Anker Ousdal), presents plans to freight a bulldozer to the mainland from Sarstangen. They have been instructed to dump the bulldozer underway as part of an insurance fraud scheme, but have instead made arrangements to sell the vehicle on Greenland. While at port, Tom is called to visit Governor Bache (Jon Eikemo), who warns that he will be keeping an eye on them.
