The Eternal Three is a 1923 American silent film drama produced and distributed by Goldwyn Pictures. It was directed by both Marshall Neilan and Frank Urson. Hobart Bosworth, Claire Windsor and Bessie Love star. The film was made from a screen story by Neilan and is now a lost film, although a brief production scene of director Marshall Neilan with stars Raymond Griffith, Hobart Bosworth, and Claire Windsor appear in the restored film Souls for Sale.

As described in a film publication, Minnie (Joy), the homeliest girl in town, is devoted to her father (Barnum), a discouraged inventor who has been working on a wireless device. Subject to the sneers of her neighbors, Minnie "invents" a lover and sends herself letters and flowers. Her stepsister (Lynch) suspects the truth and threatens to expose her. Desperate, she claims an unidentified body at the morgue and tells a reporter (Moore) that this is her lover, unaware that the body is that of a Chinese man. The absent-minded reporter sees he heart and forgets about the big story. After further disappointments in the invention, Minnie's stepmother decides to leave her father. Her father then has a success and becomes rich. At a celebration, the stepsister and townspeople are surprised when a new couple appear, which turn out to be the former reporter and his lovely wife Minnie.

The film takes place in the mining town of Red Gulch in the High Sierra. M'Liss (Mary Pickford) is one of the inhabitants whose father "Bummer" (Theodore Roberts) lost his fortune in the gold mines. In May 1550 two great houses were to be united by the betrothal of the son of Rutland and the heiress of Haddon Hall. Sir George Vernon (Anders Randolf) is forfeit to Rutland on his daughter's 18th birthday, for ten of his thirty manors lying adjacent to Rutland. His daughter Dorothy (Mary Pickford) and John Manners (Allan Forrest) are forced to marry each other on their 18th birthday, but they can't stand each other. John is in France with Mary Stuart (Estelle Taylor) and George intents to use this as a way for Dorothy to be able to marry her cousin Malcolm Vernon (Marc McDermott).
