Add to a movie listEl Ratón Pérez is a 2006 Spanish-Argentine film directed by Juan Pablo Buscarini, starring Delfina Varni, Nicolas Torcanowsky and the voices of Alejandro Awada as Ratón Perez, Mariano Chiesa as Commander Fugaz and Roly Serrano as El Rata. The film includes 3D animated characters created by the Patagonik Film Group in Argentina, and Filmax Animation in Spain. It was followed by a 2008 sequel, El Ratón Pérez 2.
The film was screened at the 2006 Toronto International Film Festival, under the English title The Hairy Tooth Fairy. Ratón Peréz is the Argentine-Spanish version of the tooth fairy.
Synopsis
This is the story of Lucía, a restless kid who suffers a domestic accident and loses a tooth. Santiago, her father, an unemployed chef and Pilar, her mother, a successful architect with work to spare, ease her with the illusion that Ratón Pérez will stop by her room that night, take her tooth and replace it with some money. What they don't know is that the alert sign is already being spread...Actors

In the opening scene, animals and humans are seen acting out the seven deadly sins: pride (the peacock), envy (the snake), sloth (the sloth), lust (the hedgehog), gluttony (the toad), wrath (the mandrill), and greed (the human). In a series of flashbacks played in reverse chronological order it is related that in 1939, Professor Trevor Bruttenholm investigated a series of murders in Eastern Europe. Erzebet Ondrushko, a vampire who bathed in the blood of innocents to stay young, was responsible. Un homme se réveille un beau matin avec des ailes sur son dos. Premier film de Bill Plympton sombre, il aborde un thème plus spirituel et plus personnel. Plympton explique avoir voulu dépeindre la lutte qui se joue entre le bien et le mal en chacun de nous. Le bien est ici symbolisé par les ailes qui poussent au personnage (et qu'il essaie de couper), le mal par le quotidien de tous les protagonistes (nuisance du réveil en sonnerie, agressivité routière, tabagie, éthylisme mondain, sarcasmes, petites ou grandes violences...). Ses ailes, dont son entourage se moque, poussent parfois le personnage à faire le bien malgré lui. Elles sont pour d'autres effet de convoitise. Volées, elles serviront à commettre des crimes profitant à un médecin et à un cabaretier, avant de revenir chez leur possesseur initial dont elles transforment la vie avant de s'envoler sans lui, peut-être pour de nouvelles aventures.
