Synopsis
Un colleur d'affiches en action dans une ville, parmi d'autres affiches. Des policiers passent puis les personnages des affiches s'animent et interagissent. Un des hommes commence à faire la cour à une jeune fille, qui le repousse, aidée par les personnages des autres affiches. Les policiers repassent et les affiches ne bougent plus. Un passant est provoqué par les personnages, qui s'en prennent aux policiers venus à la rescousse. Les affiches reprennent une apparence normale. Le décor tombe et les personnages des affiches se retrouvent enfermés derrière une grille, que les policiers essaient de franchir avant d'être eux-mêmes enfermés derrière les affiches et d'essayer de s'échapper.Actors

Le film met en scène un magicien qui, en jouant de la flûte, fait surgir de son cocon une grosse chenille qu'il transforme ensuite en femme-papillon. Il s'en amourache et tente donc de la capturer avec une couverture, ce qui la change en une princesse arabe qu'il convoite encore plus. A chemist in his laboratory places upon a table his own head, alive; then fixing upon his head a rubber tube with a pair of bellows, he begins to blow with all his might. Immediately the head increases in size and continues to enlarge until it becomes truly colossal while making faces. The chemist, fearing to burst it, opens a cock in the tube. The head immediately contracts and resumes its original size. He then calls his assistant and informs him of his discovery. The assistant, wishing to experiment for himself, seizes the bellows and blows into the head with all his might. The head swells until it bursts with a crash, knocking over the two experimenters. The chemist then literally kicks his assistant from the lab in anger.

Le diable Méphisto entraîne Faust pour une longue descente sous terre. Il fait apparaître les uns après les autres des danseuses, un monstre tentaculaire, des démons en culotte et des flammes. Faust refuse de le suivre dans une crevasse, mais est contraint par Méphisto à descendre avec lui. Arrivés au fond de la caverne, ils voient des démons dotés de piques dansant. Méphisto surgit alors du sous-sol et déploie de larges ailes de chauve-souris, au milieu de la liesse générale.

Un homme bien habillé dessine sur un tableau un personnage du XVII siècle, puis laisse apparaître sur sa propre tête une coiffure de cette époque. Il dessine alors un vieil homme à barbe, attribut pileux qui apparaît alors sur le bas de son visage. Ensuite, il dessine un homme avec une grande moustache : sa coupe et sa barbe disparaissent, mais pour laisser place à cette même moustache. At an International Congress at an Aero Club, explorers from around the world argue about the best way to fly to the North Pole. All are in disagreement until the congress's president, the engineer Maboul of France, explains his plans for an "Aero-Bus," an airplane with a passenger car and a huge figurehead in the shape of a bird head. The proceedings are interrupted by a group of militant suffragettes, who announce their intention to go to the Pole themselves. When they have been chased off, the Congress nominates an international group of experts to accompany Maboul to the Pole: Run-Ever of England, Bluff-"Allo"-Bill of America, Choukroutman of Germany, Cerveza of Spain, Tching-Tchun of China, and Ka-Ko-Ku of Japan. Maboul takes his colleagues to his office to study the model of his invention, and then to the electricity-powered factory where the real thing is being constructed. The leader of the suffragettes moves on with her own plans to get to the Pole, building a machine fitted with propellers and a multitude of toy balloons, but it fails to get off the ground.
