The Inspector Wears Skirts (霸王花) is a 1988 Hong Kong martial arts-action comedy produced by Jackie Chan, directed by Wellson Chin Sing-Wai and starring Sibelle Hu, Ellen Chan and Sandra Ng. In common with many other Hong Kong films The Inspector Wears Skirts moves from genre to genre. Technically it is an action film with a high level of kung fu fighting, but it is also a comedy that relies on slap-stick and has elements of a love story.

Synopsis

The film revolves around a crack squad of female police officers who have to deal with harassment and a lack of respect from their male colleagues, personal issues as well as some serious criminals.

The sixth prince, learning of the betrayal, orders her friend, Snow/Eagle Claw (Yeh Chuan-Chen) to kill Ha. Ha accidentally kills her in a duel, and is determined to stay with her good side. With some help from a couple of chilvarous friends, she rises up, set on attacking and defeating her former master.

Ti Hau is a pupil of Master Ti, a high-ranking member of a boxer clan during the time of the Boxer Rebellion (1899 - 1901). The chief orders his execution, and claims he can be identified because he enjoys showing off his kung-fu skills.

The Lucky Stars go on an island vacation and discover a nympho ghost in a castle near their cabin. Four policewomen come to investigate and the boys try to put the moves on them. After many failed attempts, one of the policewomen, Lai Ti, is possessed by a male ghost that is residing in the castle. The gang take her back to Hong Kong where they learn that the ghost wants revenge for his death. The gang are more than willing to oblige if the ghost helps them cheat in gambling. This all leads to the inevitable showdown where Kidstuff uses his kung fu skills to fight the ghost's killers.
