Dane and Lovro are two mine workers now turned soldiers, in the 2nd Sappers Company of a Partisan Brigade. They bemoan their lack of aggressive war combat as compared to the 1st Sappers. Finally, they are sent on an important mission. Their excitement turns to embarrassment when they realise that their job is to accompany three children and transport them safely to the liberated area. They are joined by a new recruit Dolfe. A bond develops between the soldiers and the children, especially with the youngest, four-year-old Peter whose curiosity causes many tense and dangerous situations, thus requiring a constant attention by Dane and Lovro. , 1h50

The script was based (with significant changes) on the novella Grandpa Orel (Očka Orel) by Ciril Kosmač. It depicts the last two years of World War II in the Slovenian Littoral, occupied by the Italians. After their capitulation, the German army takes over a village. The movie tells about both the Partisan resistance forces and the villagers., 1h22

The film takes place in Vukovar, a city on the border between Serbia and Croatia, in a country which used to be called SFR Yugoslavia, on the eve of the country's breakup. It is a typical love story, between a Croat woman Ana (Mirjana Joković) and a Serb man Toma (Boris Isaković), who marry one another with the blessing of both families right before the Battle of Vukovar. Their harmonic community is brutally broken apart with the start of a civil war. Not only they but everyone around them, against their will, are brought into the craziness of war which divides them from family and friends. Divided, living through hell, they still hope that the horrors of war will stop and that their newborn baby will be able to have a fresh start., 2h15

In a Jewish ghetto in German-occupied Poland, a man named Jakob is summoned to the Gestapo office on a charge he broke the curfew. As the soldier who sent him there merely played a prank on him, he is released, but not before hearing a radio broadcast about the defeats of the German Army. As no one believes he went to the Gestapo and came out alive, Jakob makes up another tale, claiming he owns a radio – a crime punishable by death. He then starts encouraging his friends with false reports about the advance of the Red Army toward their ghetto. The residents, who are desperate and starved, find new hope in Jakob's stories. But it all ends as the Germans deport the people to their death in the extermination camps.Directed by Robert DornhelmGenres Drama,
