Le Banquier de la Résistance (en néerlandais : Bankier van het Verzet) est un film dramatique néerlandais réalisé par Joram Lürsen, sorti en 2018. Il s’agit des faits réels sur la vie du banquier Walraven van Hall qui a financé la résistance néerlandaise pendant la Seconde Guerre mondiale.

Synopsis

Le Banquier de la Résistance est basé sur l'histoire vraie du banquier néerlandais Walraven van Hall (Barry Atsma) sous l'occupation nazie. Il décide de financer la résistance néerlandaise par la création d'une banque parallèle. Walraven van Hall utilise le prétexte d'un fonds de bienfaisance créé pour aider les marins néerlandais bloqués à l'étranger par la guerre afin de blanchir de l'argent à l'intérieur de la banque dans laquelle il travaille. Cependant, alors que la guerre continue et que les Allemands se rapprochent de lui, les besoins de la résistance augmentent. Afin de se financer, il doit éditer des obligations de guerre, les échanger secrètement avec des vrais, pour échanger ces dernières contre de l'argent dans une « vraie » banque.
