This film, sometimes referred to as the Polish The Sting, tells the story of Henryk Kwinto a legendary safe cracker with a score to settle. After taking the fall in a bank robbery, Kwinto is released from prison and hoping to return to a quiet married life and playing trumpet in a jazz band with his friend Tadeusz. However, these hopes are soon dashed when he discovers his wife has a new man in her life and that his music partner Tadeusz has apparently committed suicide due to financial difficulties.
When two young jewel thieves approach Kwinto to hit a bank run by Gustaw Kramer, a ruthless and criminal bank president, Kwinto tells them he is not interested and that he is nothing more than a simple musician.
However, when Kwinto realizes the cut he received from Kramer in exchange for his prison time is little more than 20 Złoty a day and that Kramer himself is responsible for Tadeusz’s death, Kwinto decides to get even with him. He tracks down his former associate Dane and with the two jewel thieves, plan a robbery of Kramer’s reportedly heist-proof bank.
A sequel, Vabank II, was made in 1984.

The film takes place in 1936, at the height of the Great Depression. Johnny Hooker, a grifter in Joliet, Illinois, cons $11,000 in cash from an unsuspecting victim with the aid of his partners Luther Coleman and Joe Erie. Buoyed by the windfall, Luther announces his retirement and advises Hooker to seek out an old friend, Henry Gondorff, in Chicago to teach him "the big con". Baby est chauffeur pour un gang de braqueurs à Atlanta. Lors d'un nouveau « boulot » au cours duquel un témoin armé l'a poursuivi ainsi que la police avec le gang, avant de parvenir à s'échapper, Baby quitte le monde criminel après avoir payé sa dette auprès de Doc et devient livreur de pizzas. Alors qu'il a invité Debora au restaurant, Baby, pensant fuir un monde qui ne lui ressemble pas, a la désagréable surprise de voir Doc, qui interrompt leur dîner. Ce dernier contraint le jeune homme à participer à un autre coup en dévalisant un bureau de poste, sous peine de s'en prendre à Debora et Joseph.

Chris est boxeur, Peter est comédien et Max un jeune publicitaire. At a psychiatric hospital, former Chief Inspector Charles Dreyfus (Herbert Lom) is largely recovered from his obsession to kill the new Chief Inspector Jacques Clouseau (Peter Sellers) and is about to be released when Clouseau, arriving to speak on Dreyfus' behalf, drives Dreyfus insane again. Dreyfus promptly escapes from the asylum and once again tries to kill Clouseau by planting a bomb while the Inspector (by periodic arrangement) duels with his manservant Cato (Burt Kwouk). The bomb destroys Clouseau's apartment and injures Cato, but Clouseau himself is unharmed, being lifted from the room by an inflatable disguise. Jewel thief Jack Rhodes, a.k.a. "Jack of Diamonds," is masterminding a heist of $30 million worth of uncut gems.
