"His Voice") is a 2007 South Korean crime thriller-drama film written and directed by Park Jin-pyo, starring Sol Kyung-gu and Kim Nam-joo. It was the third top-grossing domestic film of 2007, with 3,143,247 tickets sold. The story is a fictionalized account of a real-life kidnapping case in 1991.
Synopsis
The only son of famous news anchor Han Kyung-bae disappears without a trace. The kidnapper calls the nine-year-old boy's mother, Oh Ji-sun, demanding US$100 000 as ransom. The police assign a veteran cop and his so called special task force on the case. However, the kidnapper catches wind of the police involvement and threatens to cut out the boy's heart and mail it to them. Han desperately tries to save his boy and obey the gangster's demands. However, he fails consistently thanks to the cops incompetency and bad luck..Actors

The film's plot pits a tough loose-cannon cop, Kang Chul-joong, and a psychopathic killer, Cho Kyu-hwan, against each other. Located on the southeastern tip of the Korean Peninsula, Haeundae district of Busan, South Korea draws one million visitors to its beaches every year. A Christian musical procession waits outside a prison for Lee Geum-ja (Lee Young-ae), a recently reformed female prisoner, who had been convicted of murdering a young schoolboy, Won-mo. The case, a national sensation because of her young age at the time of the murder and innocent appearance, earns her a lengthy prison sentence, reduced because of her apparent spiritual transformation in prison and her good conduct toward other inmates, results in the nickname of the "Kind-Hearted Geum-Ja". As Lee Geum-ja emerges from prison, she immediately sidesteps the procession, intent on revenge.
