Pierrot vit dans le décompte. Sa vie s'égrène à l'envers. Pour obsession le temps qui passe, et pour hantise la mort de sa mère. Sa mère, son père, une maison démesurée à l'écart du bourg. Sa seule amie Elise, et le bunker solitaire en haut de la falaise, voilà tout l'univers de Pierrot. Mais Pierrot est ailleurs, cadenassé dans son monde intérieur. Au-delà du miroir, la réalité se déforme. Sous son regard, l'âge prend mille visages. Les visions l'assaillent de plus en plus souvent, deviennent hallucinations. La vieillesse est partout, déjà autour de lui, en lui. Pris dans son propre engrenage, Pierrot se dérègle de jour en jour... Une nuit, le compte à rebours touche à sa fin, les limites de sa folie sont atteintes et Pierrot se retrouve face à face avec le vieillard qu'il sera lui-même. Un étrange voyage commence alors pour l'improbable duo.

The movie The Toy talks about a little boy that’s trying to prove his father wrong by acting exactly like him. His father “buys” people and nothing can stop him from getting what he wants. His son does not see why he cannot do the same and decides to buy a man, who he encountered at the toy shop. The man he chose happened to be a journalist at his father’s newspaper. Gradually with the help of his “toy” the boy manages to prove his father’s wrong deeds by exposing them in the newspaper produced by him and his “toy”. Along this journey the boy establishes warm relationships with the man and refuses to stay with his father any longer. The message behind the story is that love matters more than money.

Dr. Bruno Sachs, the only medical practitioner in a small French town, seems on the surface to be compassionate and dedicated. While she is not interested in a traditional courtship, she would like to consummate their relationship. A few days later she bumps into him in a book shop, and their relationship seems to start to blossom.
