The film had premiere on November 30, 2007 in Italian cinemas.
Rainbow S.r.l. offered the film to the Cannes Film Festival in 2007. Australian singer Natalie Imbruglia sings the film's ending song, "All the Magic". Elisa Rosselli performed the other songs, including "Fly", "You Are the One", "Enchantix, Shining so Bright", "Only a Girl", and "You Made Me a Woman". The movie was released on DVD in Italy in early March 2008.
Straffi has noted that it was difficult to animate the girls' hair correctly in 3D.
Synopsis
The story begins sometime after Valtor was defeated. An unseen narrator begins to speak about a girl who discovered that she is a fairy and a princess: Bloom. Though her story is a magical one, it is one without an ending. The story will only have one when the girl writes the ending—i.e., creates the ending.Actors

During a party at Alfea, the Trix crash it and take the Compass of Revealed Secrets for the Ancestrial Witches. Despite the Winx's efforts, Icy, Stormy and Darcy escape with the compass. Meanwhile on Domino, Sky proposes to Bloom, but a secret between King Erendor and the destruction of Domino forces Sky to call off the wedding. The rest of the Winx visit Bloom, who is struggling to get over it. The Trix report to the Ancestrial Witches on the sucsessful thef, and head to the Tree of Life in Pixie Village to destroy all good. On Domino, King Oritel puts Bloom to a showcase of princes to see who she will marry. Sky sneaks in and meets Bloom, saying that he'll fix everything. He is soon discovered by an angry King Oritel. He gives Bloom a letter before being forced to leave. Bloom protests but is overruled by her father. An angry Bloom transports to Gardinia with the Winx. The Trix arrive at Pixie Village, and take over the Tree of Life. This eliminates all good powers, along with the Winx's Believix. Powerless in Gardinia, the Winx turn to Bloom's adoptive parents Mike and Vanessa for shelter. They meet up with the specialists. Meanwhile, the Ancestrial Witches learn that there is one tiny source of positive energy left in the universe, they remember giving King Erendor an hourglass with the tree's pollin, protecting Eraklyon when the Witches destroyed Domino. In Gardinia, the Winx meet the specialists, and travel to Avram, the city with the last known sighting of the pollin. The Trix find Erendor, forcing him to give them the wherabouts of the pollin.

Once upon a time there were two children nursed by Jénane: Azur, a blond, blue-eyed son of a nobleman, and Asmar, the tan skinned and dark-eyed child of the Jenane. The nurse tells them the story of the Djinn-fairy waiting to be released from her chamber by a good and heroic prince. Brought up together they are as close as brothers until the day Azur's father cruelly separates them, banishing the nurse and Asmar from his home and sending Azur away to the city to receive schooling from a personal tutor. Years later, Azur is haunted by memories of the legendary Djinn-fairy, and takes it upon himself to journey all the way to Asmar's homeland to seek it out. Now reunited, he finds that Jénane has since become a successful merchant, while Asmar is now a member of the Royal Guard. However, Asmar also longs to find the Djinn-fairy, and only one of the two youths can be successful in their quest.

At the Tremaine mansion, Cinderella's stepsisters Anastasia and Drizella are bitterly doing Cinderella's old chores. Jack Frost is awakened from the depths of a frozen pond with amnesia. Upon discovering no one can see or hear him however, he wanders off alone. Three hundred years later Jack, as the spirit of Winter, enjoys delivering snow days to school kids, but resents that they do not believe in him and still cannot see him. At the North Pole, the Man in the Moon warns Nicholas St. North (Santa Claus) that Pitch Black, the Boogeyman, is threatening the children of the world with his nightmares. He calls E. At the beginning of winter, everyone prepares for the final season of the year. Out of curiosity, Tinker Bell wants to go to the Winter Woods. The tinker fairies make snowflake baskets which are delivered by snowy owls. Later that day, she helps Fawn take the animals to the Woods to hibernate. While Fawn is busy, Tink crosses the border, and her wings start to glow. Seeing this, Tink is convinced that she is meant to explore the Woods. But Fawn warns her that her wings are freezing and rushes her to the fairy hospital. After being examined, she remains curious about her wings. Tink then flies off to the Book Nook, where she finds a book on Wingology, but finds the page on "Sparkling Wings" chewed up. A reading fairy tells her that the Keeper, the author who lives in the Winter Woods, might be able to help her.

After singing the film's signature song "When You Wish Upon a Star", Jiminy Cricket explains that he is going to tell a story of a wish coming true. His story begins in the Tuscany workshop of a woodworker named Geppetto. Jiminy watches as Geppetto finishes work on a wooden marionette whom he names Pinocchio (a name his cat Figaro and fish Cleo both dislike). Before falling asleep, Geppetto makes a wish on a star that Pinocchio would be a real boy. During the night, a Blue Fairy visits the workshop and brings Pinocchio to life, although he still remains a puppet. She informs him that if he proves himself brave, truthful, and unselfish he will become a real boy and assigns Jiminy to be his conscience.

Barbie is at the premiere of her latest movie when her rival and co-star, Raquelle, steps on her dress, ripping it. Her stylists, Carrie and Taylor, use magic to mend it.
