Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars is a 1973 documentary and concert movie by D. A. Pennebaker. It features David Bowie and his backing group The Spiders from Mars performing at the Hammersmith Odeon on 3 July 1973. The DVD release was later retitled Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars: The Motion Picture.

Synopsis

Le 3 juillet 1973, au Hammersmith Odeon de Londres. Dans les loges, David Bowie se métamorphose une dernière fois en Ziggy Stardust, ange sexy, androgyne futuriste, diva kitsch dont les jambes nues font grimper les jeunes filles (et les autres) au rideau. Sur scène, la star la plus glam enchaîne ses standards : "Space Oddity", "Suffragette City", "Rock'n'roll Suicide"… Il changera trois fois de parure au cours de la soirée, son guitariste Mick Ronson (avec qui il mimera quelques scènes de luttes sado-maso) maintenant la salle à température ambiante pendant que l'artiste disparaît en coulisses.
