Color of love is a story about a crow comes into a farm and wants to make friendship with a white cat who already lives there. To be attract cat's attention, the crow does any work, which it imagines about cat's thought, such as whiting itself. It makes itself white while the same thing happens to cat; it means, cat makes itself black as well. Both cat and crow was thinking about each other without knowing about it. At the end of the story, both of them become friend with opposite color.

The film starts when a male teacher comes to the grey classroom. The headmaster says "good morning" and announced a message that there will be ongoing changes in the school, and said that the students' teachers will advise them further. The teacher tells the children that two plus two equals five. He told the children to be silent, otherwise to have order in the classroom. The teacher writes 2 + 2 = 5 on the chalkboard and tells the children to repeat after him, in order to know. A student asked the teacher that two plus two is four, then the teacher said that two plus two was actually five, and told him to sit down and be quiet. The teacher told them to put their notebooks out to write 2 + 2 = 5. While the teacher was saying the expression, another student was saying that two plus two was four. The teacher asked him who gave the student permission to talk, and scolded the student. He was ordering the student to say 2 + 2 = 5 but the student denied. A student was saying 2 + 2 = 4, but the teacher was ordering to face the front. Then, the teacher sent the 3 older students and the older three students said two plus two equals five was true. A student had to stand next to the teacher. The teacher was holding the chalk. When the teacher said to the student that it was his last chance, he cleaned the 5 and replaced it with 4. At the end, the older students started shooting at the classroom and injured the student. An injured student was later taken by the older students. The teacher cleans everything from the chalkboard. A student writes on his notebook 2 + 2 = 5 and then he strikes the 5 and writes the 4 next to the stroken 5.

Maryam (Negar Javaherian) and Reza (Shahab Hosseini) try to do their best in life, but are met with several obstacles due to being mentally challenged. Their son Soheil was born without any defects and initially does not realize how his parents differ from other adults until he begins to grow older. This leads to complications when his teachers request that his mother come to school for a parent-teacher conference, as Soheil is afraid that his parents will humiliate him. As a result Soheil spends more and more time with Amirali, his teacher's son, and eventually moves in with them after his father loses his job.

Saeed, is an Iran–Iraq war victim who has headed to Germany for his eyesight treatment, comes across his sister, Leila, who has lived in Cologne with her husband and son, Jonas for many years. Saeed gets his sight back after the surgery and he is coped with the new and strange atmosphere around him. Saeed is getting ready to come back to Iran but everything goes wrong. Further examinations show that he suffers from leukemia. His disease has apparently resulted from chemical gases used in the war. When Saeed’s sister finds out about his disease, she tries to prevent any situation which will cause him stress, as the doctors advised. But Saeed becomes very ill when he watches the video of Iran’s leader Ayatollah Khomeini’s funeral which was recorded by his brother in law. So, they take him to the hospital and he dies there while doing chemotherapy. This happens while Saeed’s wife and his newly born baby are coming to Germany to meet him. The last scene of the film shows that the family of Saeed’s sister is going back to Iran with his wife.

Haji's daughter, son-in-law, and servant help the director with the film as well. Haji's watch gets lost, and he suspects his servant. Haji and his son-in-law start chasing him. At first, they tail him to the dentist's, and then they meet a fakir who claims he can find the lost watch. He does some strange things. The director photographs Haji all the time. Then Haji watches the film and becomes aware of the true merits of cinema.
