Real name Patrick Étoile
Patrick Star is a fictional character in the American animated television series SpongeBob SquarePants. He is voiced by actor Bill Fagerbakke, who also voices numerous other characters on the show. Created and designed by marine biologist and cartoonist Stephen Hillenburg, the series creator, Patrick first appeared on television in the show's pilot episode "Help Wanted" on May 1, 1999.
Depicted as an overweight, dimwitted pink starfish, Patrick lives under a rock in the underwater city of Bikini Bottom next door to Squidward Tentacles' moai. His most significant character trait is his lack of common sense, which sometimes leads him and his best friend, main character SpongeBob SquarePants, into trouble. Patrick is unemployed and a self-proclaimed expert in the "art of doing nothing".
The character has received positive reactions from critics and fans alike; however, he has been involved in a public controversy that centered on speculation over his relationship with SpongeBob. Patrick has been included in various SpongeBob SquarePants-related merchandise, including trading cards, video games, plush toys, and comic books. He appears in the 2004 full-length feature film The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie and in its 2015 sequel.
Biography
Patrick est le meilleur ami et voisin de Bob après Carlo Tentacule. Physiquement, Patrick est une étoile de mer rose et un peu sotte qui dit parfois la même phrase « Ah que ! » dans la version française. Ils rendent souvent visite à Carlo, le plus souvent pour l'importuner. Il porte un short vert à fleurs violettes de style hawaïen, et vit sous un gros rocher, comme le font les étoiles de mers en réalité. Sa maison se soulève à la verticale quand il en sort ; elle est équipée d'une télévision et d'un canapé vert. Les autres meubles qui sont dans sa maison sont faits avec du sable (épisode Les parents de Patrick).Patrick est le meilleur ami de Bob l'éponge et les deux personnages s'entendent plus que très bien car ils ont de nombreux points communs. Ils sont tous les deux des invertébrés, ils ont le même caractère et ils ont les mêmes centres d'intérêt comme pêcher les méduses, faire des bulles de savon, embêter Carlo ou jouer à n'importe quel jeu avec n'importe quel objet qui traîne et ils sont tous les deux très imaginatifs. Il n'a pas de travail et passe son temps avec Bob ou à ne rien faire, les yeux dans le vague.
Seuls les parents de Patrick sont aperçus faisant une courte apparition à la fin d'un épisode. Patrick a une grande sœur nommée Sam. Mais il y a d'autres étoiles de mer dans la série, comme Marty et Jeannette qui sont aussi bêtes que Patrick et qui se prennent pour ses parents, et qui se moquent aussi et dramatiquement de Bob l'éponge. Patrick est amoureux de la fille du roi Neptune dans le film.

A pirate named Burger-Beard (Antonio Banderas) travels to the island of Bikini Atoll to obtain a magical book that makes any text written upon it come true. The book tells the story of SpongeBob SquarePants, a childlike sea sponge who loves his job as a fry cook at the Krusty Krab fast food restaurant and faithfully guards the secret Krabby Patty formula from Plankton, owner of the Chum Bucket and business rival to Mr. Krabs, SpongeBob's boss.

SpongeBob realizes that the Krusty Krab restaurant is celebrating its "eleventy-seventh" anniversary. He remembers his first visit to the Krusty Krab and tells Gary about it. SpongeBob then leaves to go to the Krusty Krab, but as soon as he exits his house, he bumps into the back of a long line of customers waiting to get into the restaurant as well. SpongeBob jumps on top of every person in the line, eventually reaching the Krusty Krab.

SpongeBob and Patrick find a piece of an amulet to the lost city of Atlantis, but have no idea what it is. They take it to the Bikini Bottom Museum to see if the staff there know what it is. Patrick and SpongeBob run into Squidward who thinks SpongeBob and Patrick stole the missing half of the amulet. He soon matches it to the displayed other half of the amulet and tells them it was the key to Atlantis. After hearing the story of Atlantis, the only thing SpongeBob and Patrick want to see is the "World's Oldest Bubble." So off goes the Bikini Bottom crew — SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, along with Mr. Krabs Sandy and even Plankton are on an adventure to Atlantis.

The film follows the plot of the TV series SpongeBob SquarePants, focusing on the anthropomorphic sea sponge of the same name (Tom Kenny). SpongeBob dreams about managing the Krusty Krab restaurant. The restaurant is in trouble because a customer has no cheese on his Krabby Patty, but SpongeBob saves the day. He wakes up and cheerfully prepares for the opening ceremony for the Krusty Krab 2, hoping that his boss Mr. Krabs (Clancy Brown) will promote him to manager of the new restaurant built next door to the original Krusty Krab. At the ceremony, SpongeBob is passed over; his co-worker, Squidward Tentacles (Rodger Bumpass), is given the promotion because Mr. Krabs thinks he is "more mature" than SpongeBob.
