A. M. Rathnam (Telugu: ఎ. ఎం. రత్నం) is an Indian film producer from Andhra Pradesh, who predominantly works in Telugu and Tamil Cinema.
Under the gamut of Sri Surya Movies Entertainment, Hyderabad, a movie production house owned by him, he has produced blockbusters in Telugu such as Karthavyam (1991), Peddarikam (1992) and Sneham Kosam (1999).
He ventured into Tamil cinema in 1996 with the blockbuster, Indian, which was India's Official Entry for the Best Foreign Language Film for the Academy Awards. He then produced films like Kushi, Run, Boys, Enakku 20 Unakku 18, Dhool, Ghilli and 7G Rainbow Colony.

Nachiappan (Nassar) is a restaurateur in Los Angeles, USA. His twin sons Vishwanathan (Visu) and Ramamoorthy (Ramu) (both played by Prashanth), are medical students, who help him out in the evenings and alongside with the restaurant's chief cook, Juno (Senthil) who enjoys on weekends.One evening, Vishwanathan goes to the airport to check on the family's supply concession and sees that some fellow Indians – Madhumitha (Aishwarya Rai), her brother Madhesh (Raju Sundaram) and their grandmother Krishnaveny (Lakshmi) – have difficulty with an address. The film starts with Ashok setting bombs in three places and informing the police about them. Before the police arrive, the bombs are set off. He along with his lady love Maya (Nayanthara), both threaten her old collegemate hacker Arjun (Arya) who starts hacking one system after the other. Ashok then threatens Sridhar Raghavan (Aadukalam Naren) by trying to kill his baby so that he can extract the truth about black money, Ashok murders him in a fit of rage. Arjun, who is particularly irritated by the things happening around him, complains about the misdeeds of Ashok to inspector Prakash (Kishore). When Ashok gets closer to achieving his goals, he gets arrested by the police.

The story follows a tug of war between two underworld gangs trying to outsmart each other.
