Independent and aggressive, Bok-soon is known around the neighborhood as a "psycho bitch" because of her weird behavior. She is "slow" and not very smart due to a developmental disability, but is nonetheless a brave young woman with a happy inner world. Bok-soon manages to make a living by running a street stall at the local market with her younger sister Eun-jeong, whom she loves more than life itself. The name-calling doesn't affect her at all, and she only cares about working hard and saving up money for Eun-jeong's education. Their relatively peaceful life is disrupted when Tae-soo, who lives alone in a deserted forest, kills Bok-soon's beloved sister because Eun-jeong may have stumbled upon the truth of his murderous lifestyle. Bok-soon is completely consumed by her grief, madness and uncontrollable rage. Two damaged souls race together for the race of their lifetime. Horse jockey Seung-ho loses his wife in a fatal car accident. The accident also leaves him practically blind. No longer able to work, he leads an aimless life with his little daughter. Things take turn for the worse when he loses all his savings after trying to cheat at the horse track and flees to a remote ranch in Jeju Island. There he meets a violent and limping horse named Woo-bak and he trains the horse for racing. Against all odds, Seung-ho and Woo-bak finish first in the preliminaries but when Seung-ho's blindness is discovered by the officials, they're disqualified from the finals. Woo-bak rejects all other jockeys and waits for Seung-ho to come back. The limping horse and his blind jockey bet everything to race one last time.

Oh Goo-joo was once a famous producer, but she left the music industry after one of her idol group members died in an accident. One day, she encounters Lee Yoo-jin who was kicked out of an agency called Star Music after years of training to become a singer. Joo Young-soo (Kim Myung-min) is a devoted Christian and well-respected pastor whose 5-year-old daughter, Hye-rin (Kim So-hyun), gets kidnapped. The story starts with Young-soo attempting to give the kidnapper the ransom money in exchange for his daughter in an ice hockey rink, but because of his wife, Min-kyung's (Park Joo-mi) interference by informing the police, the kidnapper doesn't show. Eight years later, Young-soo loses his faith in God and leaves the church while his wife is still desperately searching for their daughter. He opens up a business and mocks his wife for not losing hope. He soon receives a call from the kidnapper, saying his daughter is still alive and they're asking for more ransom money, demanding that there be no police this time. Now given another chance to save his daughter, he takes matters into his own hands.
