Allen Wolf (born October 29, 1970) is an American film director, screenwriter and film producer.
In 2005, he produced a short, The Sound of Movies, which was a finalist for the Coca-Cola Refreshing Filmmaker's Award.
In 2010, Wolf's feature directorial debut, In My Sleep screened at the market at the Cannes Film Festival, where The Hollywood Reporter called it “A sexy, well-made thriller. Savvy entertainment…will appeal to twentysomething audiences and movie-buff viewers who appreciate the pursued-pursuer, Hitchcockian style of suspenser. Narratively, In My Sleep never rests, a credit to the tight, psychologically astute pacing of filmmaker Wolf and editor Peter Devaney Flanagan. In like dark vein, cinematographer Michael Hardwick's taut compositions and vivid scopings magnify this nocturnal horror story.”[1]
On November 6, 2010, In My Sleep screened at the Fort Lauderdale Film Festival where it won the Audience Choice Award. Since it first screened at Cannes, the movie has sold to over seventy countries around the world. In My Sleep was released theatrically in over twenty five cities in the U.S. and debuted as the number one new independent movie its opening weekend. The In My Sleep(Special Edition Blu-ray/DVD Combo) was released on November 8, 2011. Allen was interviewed about his hit film In My Sleep January 15, 2012 on the show NewsTek.[2]
In 2013, Wolf launched his next film, the romantic comedy Lessons from Violet from an award-winning screenplay that he wrote. Lessons from Violet is set to be the first romantic comedy that highlights the issue of human trafficking.[3]
In addition to being a filmmaker, Allen has also created a line of educational boardgames under the name of Morning Star Games, that has received 38 different awards, ranging from groups such as iParenting to the National Association of Gifted Children.

Biography
Allen Wolf was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 1970. He studied filmmaking at New York University where he graduated summa cum laude. He wrote, directed and produced his senior thesis film, Harlem Grace, which was a finalist for the Student Academy Awards and the Producers Guild of America Awards. Marcus (Philip Winchester) wakes up in a cemetery with no memory of how he got there. He suffers from parasomnia, a sleep disorder which causes him to do things while asleep which he cannot remember, and so is plagued with questions: "Where was I last night? Who was I with?" Hoping to deal with his use of one-night stands to escape his problems, Marcus joins a Sexaholics Anonymous support group, where SA sponsor Derek (Michael Badalucco) helps him work through his problems. His disorder takes a turn for the worse when he wakes up and finds himself covered in blood with a knife at his side and the police banging at his door. In a panic he hides the evidence and then learns from the police that Ann (Kelly Overton), wife of his best friend Justin (Tim Draxl), was found stabbed to death. Marcus is terrified to put together the pieces of how she might have been murdered. A series of mysterious phone calls make him believe that someone is watching him. Desperate to figure out what happens after he goes to sleep at night, he investigates his own nocturnal activities. His quest for the truth ends in a shocking revelation.
