Allison Munn (born October 7, 1974) is an American actress, perhaps best known for her roles as Caroline in the Fox sitcom That '70s Show, Tina Haven in The WB sitcom What I Like About You, and Lauren in The WB/CW drama One Tree Hill.

Biography

Early life
Munn was born and raised in Columbia, South Carolina to Russell and Nadine Munn. Her mother, an elementary school teacher, encouraged her daughter in the arts by letting her take dance and singing lessons at an early age. Munn graduated from AC Flora High School and The College of Charleston. From there, she moved to New York, where she won a role in the Off-Broadway classic, The Fantasticks.


Career
Munn's further auditions led to small roles in Hollywood productions; most notably in the drama White Oleander opposite Alison Lohman, Michelle Pfeiffer, Robin Wright-Penn and Renee Zellweger, based on the Janet Fitch novel of the same name and in Cameron Crowe's romantic tragicomedy Elizabethtown opposite Orlando Bloom and Kirsten Dunst.

Munn's biggest break came in September 2003 when she won a co-starring role, opposite Amanda Bynes and Jennie Garth, on The WB sitcom What I Like About You in the second season as Tina Haven, Holly Tyler's new best friend. Although their characters are the same age, Munn is eleven-and-a-half years older than her co-star Bynes. Munn remained on the show until the show ended with the fourth season on April 24, 2006.

Munn also has a level of notoriety for her recurring role as Caroline, Fez's borderline stalker girlfriend on the Fox sitcom That '70s Show.

Munn co-starred as Cindy in the short-lived ABC sitcom Carpoolers that ran from October 2, 2007 to March 4, 2008.

In 2009, Munn began a recurring role on The WB drama One Tree Hill as Lauren, Jamie Scott's teacher. Lauren begins dating Skills Taylor at the end of the sixth season. They broke up in the seventh season, because Skills got a job offer in Los Angeles. She later forms a close friendship with Mouth after they both break up with their partners. After forming this bond, they begin a brief relationship, not wanting to hold his friendship with Skills against them. Skills soon discovers their relationship and but they are able to move on attempt to continue their relationship but it is short-lived. In the ninth and final season, Lauren starts a relationship with her friend Quinn's ex-husband David Fletcher (played by Munn's real-life husband Scott Holroyd).

In 2014, she started playing Anne Harper, the mother of quadruplets in Nickelodeon's Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn.

Drew Baylor (Bloom) is an intelligent young man and designer for a shoe company. The narrator, Astrid Magnussen (Alison Lohman), is the 15-year-old daughter of free-spirited artist Ingrid (Michelle Pfeiffer). Since her father left before she was old enough to remember him, Astrid depends heavily upon the maternal care of her passionate but largely self-centered mother. Ingrid's current relationship with a vulgar man named Barry (Billy Connolly) ends when she discovers he is cheating on her with younger women. Ingrid murders him with a poison made from white oleander. Ingrid is arrested and sentenced to life in prison, leaving Astrid in foster care in the hands of many foster parents.
