Amitov Teja (born November 16, 1995) is an Indian actor and screenwriter. He is the eldest son of Teja (film director). Amitov made his first screen appearance at the age of four in a cameo role in his father's directorial debut Chitram in the year 2000.
Biography
The younger son of Teja, Amitov's three-year-old brother Aurov Teja, died of prolonged illness in Hyderabad on Saturday, 19 March 2011. Aurov had been suffering from breathing problems and cerebral palsy, caused by faulty medical procedures followed by the hospital at the time of birth. Although no official press statement was given, most media channels and newspapers blamed Rainbow Hospitals for the same.
The baby was taken to Bejing, China, New York, United States and Berlin, Germany for medical treatment.
On 19 March 2011, the baby's condition deteriorated and was pronounced dead at 1:00PM IST.
Teja's family completed the last rites of the baby in Panjagutta crematorium. Members of film industry consoled Teja and expressed their condolences to his family for the loss of the baby boy.
