Andi Rianto is a noted Indonesian film score composer who has worked on several of Indonesia's most popular films.
In 2002 he worked on Ca-bau-kan and in 2003 he composed for Arisan!. And in 2009, he worked on the new theme of Seputar Indonesia, the flagship news program on RCTI. Graduated in Berklee College of Music, and become a leader for a band called Magenta Orchestra.
He started with piano lesson at 4 year old. In 1990, when he was at Senior High School, his family moved to US, and he enrolled to Forest Hills High School in New York. His teachers advised him to continue his education after graduation from high school in music at Berklee.
In 1992 he passed to enter the Berklee College of Music in Boston Massachusetts USA, and he took specialization in composition and arrangement. In 1996 he graduated from Berklee with hold an Cum Laude grade.
In 1998 he returned to Indonesia, then he established the Magenta Orchestra and the Deluxe Simphony in Jakarta.

Seven teenagers from Jakarta, Diska (Thalita Annemarie Latief), Naya (Salvita), Cika (Bunga Jelita), Dinda (Tsania Marwa), Yugo (Marcell Darwin), Armen (Melvin) and Onil (Ronald Gustav), are in Semarang to celebrate their graduation from high school. All but Diska, driving the car, are drunk after going to a discothèque. On the way to Naya's grandmother's house, Armen, Onil, and Yugo ask Diska to pull over so that they can relieve themselves; they stop at Lawang Sewu, and the boys urinate onto the grounds from outside the fence. Cika, who also must urinate, does not feel comfortable with the boys and so goes into the complex to relieve herself.

Mengejar Mas-Mas is an Indonesia drama comedy movie. Shanaz (Poppy Sovia) felt guilty for her father's death. Samantha "Sam" is an orphaned young woman who moves to an isolated boarding house in North Jakarta, trying to avoid the advances of her pervert stepfather. The landlady of the house, Yanti, tells her that the house was previously a batik factory of Mangkoedjiwo family, with its current leader, Raden Ayu Sri Sukmarahimi Mangkoedjiwo having lent the house under a condition that the second floor is locked up with no one allowed inside. While listing other restrictions, including about a chair in front of a Javanese mirror in Sam's room, Yanti chants durmo, a Javanese poem said to be able to summon Kuntilanak, a female ghost with half the body of a horse rumored to be living in a weeping fig in front of the house. Meanwhile, Sam mentions her recurring nightmares of a woman in a fire with a Kuntilanak to her boyfriend, Agung. Agung learns from his eccentric friend, Iwank, and his mother that the Mangkoedjiwo is long rumored to be a black magic sect maintaining a Kuntilanak, itself can only be summoned by antique objects. At the house, Sam befriends Dinda, who tells her that there are actually three other mirrors identical to the one in Sam's room: two of which are in herself and Ratih's rooms.

Petris (Titi Kamal) is an egotistical and emotional alternative rock vocalist at the start of her career. She often argues with her sister and manager, Yulia (Kinaryosih). One day they are caught with a large amount of heroin, which belongs to Yulia's boyfriend, in their car. They escape the police and reach a nearby village, where a travelling dangdut concert is located. The performer has quit, and thus the concert needs a new singer. Yulia, who considers it a way to escape the police, tells Petris that they should join the group. At first reluctant, Petris then agrees and takes up the stage name Iis.

Ca Bau Kan relates the saga of Giok Lan, an Indonesian woman living in the Netherlands, who returns to Indonesia in search of her roots. Her mother, Tinung, a village woman, was known as ‘Ca Bau Kan’ – a word used to describe a courtesan who entertained Chinese men in colonial Indonesia. Giok Lan’s father, Tan Peng Liang (Ferry Salim), was an immigrant Chinese merchant who had a very successful tobacco business in Batavia. She becomes deeply involved with him, and causes a scandal when he has Tinung move in with his family. The film is set between 1930 and 1950, and unfolds the story of Giok Lan and her parents: Tinung and Tan Peng Liang where Tan is eventually ruined when his rivals begin to attack him. This is owing to the significant contrast in socio-economic and cultural background, as the love of these last two characters face a series of difficulties. Depiction of Chinese Indonesian culture is largely based on the Benteng Chinese culture.
