In 2012 Armaan's Directorial Debut "Soulmates" was selected for the 65th Annual Festival De Cannes.
Armaan made his Hindi Cinema (Bollywood) debut in Nikhil Advani's Patiala House (2011) alongside veteran actors Rishi Kapoor, Dimple Kapadia and Akshay Kumar.
Biography
Armaan was born in England to a Pakistani family. He is fluent in Hindi & Urdu as well as in English. He graduated from University of Cambridge. Further Armaan has been vocally trained by veteran Urdu and Hindi radio artist Pervaiz Alam. Having graduated with a Law degree from Queens' College at the University of Cambridge, Armaan left his career to pursue a career in Film and Theatre. He has been trained by Hilary Wood (RADA), Bollywood Veteran Anupam Kher and British actor Justin Pierre. He has also been trained under Lloyd Trott at RADA and Kristine Landon Smith with the Tamasha Theatre Company.In 2012 Armaan's Directorial Debut "Soulmates" was selected for the 65th Annual Festival De Cannes.

The movie is about Parghat Singh Kahlon alias Gattu / Kaali (Akshay Kumar) who is living the life his father Gurtej Singh Kahlon (Rishi Kapoor) chose for him. Gattu had been good at cricket and wanted to play for England though his dad would never let him become a member of the England team. His dad had told him if he played he would commit suicide. His siblings hated him as he was an exemplary in the house. He was always alone until Zeeshan and Simran (Anushka Sharma) come into his life.
