Elizabeth "Beth" Grace Nell Allen (born 28 May 1984 in Auckland, New Zealand) has been acting since an early age and has appeared in several small productions and commercials since 1993. Her first major television role was in Cloud 9's The Legend of William Tell in 1998, in which she played Princess Vara. Internationally known for her role as Amber in The Tribe, she took on the role in 1998 for the first series, before deciding to leave the show to concentrate on her school work. She later returned for another three seasons.

Biography

Beth has two older siblings, a brother Oscar and a sister Dinah. She is also an aunt. She married her long-term fiancee Charlie McDermott in February 2011. They currently reside in New York, but may relocate again in the near future due to work.

The film is narrated by Martha Moxley (Maggie Grace), whose brutal murder sometime between 10 p.m. on October 30 and the early morning hours of October 31, 1975 remains unsolved in 1997. Mark Fuhrman, a former Los Angeles Police Department detective who gained notoriety during O.J. Simpson's murder trial, is intrigued by the case and travels to Greenwich, Connecticut to conduct an investigation of his own. Local authorities resent an outsider, especially one with a reputation as tarnished as Fuhrman's, invading their turf. They do everything they can to block Fuhrman's access to official reports. The film alternates between flashbacks of the events leading up to the murder and scenes set in the present day, which chronicle Fuhrman's frustration and interactions with Steve Carroll, the original investigator who grudgingly assists him. Their efforts ultimately bring Kennedy relative and former Moxley neighbor Michael Skakel to justice.

The film takes place in an old, worn down insane asylum in Auckland, New Zealand, run by Dr. Marlowe (Roy Ward). Simon Cartwright (Paolo Rotondo), one of his patients, is seeking an appeal from a psychiatrist to get a reevaluation of his mental state. He wants to prove that he’s been cured; Simon is a serial killer that has killed over a dozen different people. He wants a psychiatrist from outside of the asylum to take his case, and he specifically asks for Dr. Karen Shumaker. Dr. Shumaker (Rebecca Hobbs) has recently gained some publicity from winning a case involving another serial killer.
