Dag Åke Sigvard Malmberg (born 18 January 1953) is a Swedish actor and director best known outside the Nordic countries for his role as Hans Petterson, a senior criminal police officer in Malmö, Sweden, in the Danish-Swedish TV series The Bridge.
Malmerg studied sociology and history at Gothenburg University before turning to acting, working as first a dockworker before starting first as a stagehand and then assistant at the Gothenburg City Theatre. At 27 he started to study drama at the Gothenburg Theatre School.

Ernest Toussaint, un architecte renommé, ne vit que pour son travail. Un jour, il reçoit un appel de la police suédoise qui l'invite à reconnaître le cadavre de son fils mort noyé. Après quelques hésitations, il quitte Paris, faisant croire à sa femme, Victoire, qu'il part pour son travail. Bien qu’il n’ait jamais connu ce fils mort à 26 ans, il décide d'entreprendre en voiture ce long voyage jusqu'à Kiruna, une ville de Laponie suédoise. Son chemin va croiser celui de Magnus, un jeune homme sensible et perdu que tout oppose à Ernest, autoritaire et méfiant. Magnus, qui a étudié et vécu à Paris, est tout autant désemparé, son amie l'ayant quitté et se rendant compte que son père ne l'aime pas, cherche quelque réconfort auprès de son grand-père.

Set against the backdrop of the 1976 election, the story is centred on delinquent teenager Iris (Sofia Karemyr), who is sent to live in a juvenile home. She meets Sonja (Josefin Asplund) there and the two regularly slip away for adventures in the city. Together they are recruited to the prostitution ring operated by Dagmar Glans (Pernilla August), a madam well-known to the authorities. Dagmar's clients are mostly rich and powerful men, including senior politicians of the day. She becomes the subject of a police investigation led by a young vice officer, John Sandberg (Simon J. Berger). Sandberg soon discovers Glans has powerful clients but also finds his investigation hampered by his superiors and his life threatened by sinister figures. Police break up the prostitution ring but the powerful clients avoid being named in the scandal and Dagmar's trial concludes with her receiving a suspended sentence before Iris can testify about being an underage prostitute. In the aftermath of the trial, Sandberg is killed in a hit and run incident and his report into the affair is classified by the newly elected government. The film ends with Iris running away from the juvenile home, her ultimate fate ambiguous.

Johan "JW" Westlund is a man living in Stockholm and is a promising student at the Stockholm School of Economics. JW is originally from the Norrland region in Sweden where his father, who has a slight drinking problem, works in a saw mill, while his mother works in a jobs agency. JW is racked by the disappearance of his sister, Camilla, four years earlier. JW feigns the appearance of a "Stekare" (in Swedish parlance, a lifestyle based on flaunting one's apparent wealth), actually leading a double life driving taxi illegally to finance his expensive life on Stureplan. A romance with the upper class girl Sophie leads to him being enticed into the world of organized crime. Martin Fischer is successful composer. During a rehearsal for an upcoming concert he makes contact with first-violinist Barbara Hartman. During the concert, and Barbara and Martin flirts a lot with each other, although they are both married and have adult children. After the concert, they meet out back. She feels ill, and he says that he will follow her home. They stop at his hotel and goes inside, kisses, and Barbara says she loves him. Somewhat later, she tells her two adult children that she is going to separate from the children's father. Phillip, the son becomes very angry, while her daughter Karin is more indulgent. The film jumps to Barbara's honeymoon with Martin in Morocco. After they return home, Martin experiences amnesia, and is diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease.
