Danny Corkill (born March 8, 1974, in Chicago, Illinois) is an American former child actor who saw early success in such films as Without a Trace and D.A.R.Y.L. He appeared in a number of commercials and had a small part in the TV Series Ryan's Hope. He was born in Park Ridge, Illinois, and, now retired from acting, lives in the Chicago area.

Levi Rockwell is a retired, widowed Hollywood screenwriter and patriarch who reunites his entire family at his Long Island estate for his 77th birthday, but personal and social problems abound. His four children, son Rolo, and daughters Ruby, Rose and Aggie arrive, along with their spouses and children, to help him celebrate his 77th birthday. During the course of the family reunion, Levi's health begins to fail and he passes on a sentimental request that he be given a 'Viking Funeral' after his death. With his adult children consumed by their own personal worries, the grandchildren honors Levi's last wishes.

"Daryl" (whose name is an acronym for "Data-Analysing Robot Youth Lifeform") (Barret Oliver) is an experiment in Artificial Intelligence, created by the government. Although physically indistinguishable from an ordinary ten-year-old boy, his brain is actually a supersophisticated microcomputer with several unique capabilities. These include exceptional reflexes, superhuman multitasking ability, and the ability to "hack" other computer systems. The D.A.R.Y.L. experiment was funded by the military, with the intention of producing a "super-soldier". One of the original scientists has misgivings about the experiment and decides to free Daryl, but is killed in the process.
