Derek Partridge is a British television presenter, spokesman and voice-over artist, formerly a film and TV actor.

Partridge’s father was a diplomat in the British Foreign Service.

In the 1960s Partridge appeared in a numerous television series and films, including the 1968 "Plato's Stepchildren" episode of Star Trek as Dionyd.

In the 1970s Partridge moved to Rhodesia and presented a number of programmes for Rhodesian Television (RTV), including the popular shows Frankly Partridge and The Kwhizz Kids. He also was employed as a news anchor for RBC. During his time in Rhodesia, Partridge also wrote extensively, including publishing the books Thought-Provoking Thoughts About Living and Rhodesia - As It Really Is, which was later republished under altered titles, and a weekly column in Rhodesia's TV Guide.

In the 1980s Partridge appeared in a number of films and television episodes, including a leading role in the 1981 film Savage Harvest.

Partridge narrated the documentary Leslie Howard: A Quite Remarkable Life sixty-five years after the downing of BOAC Flight 777, a passenger plane which was shot down by Nazi war planes killing all aboard including actor Leslie Howard. Partridge was a child at the time, and had given up his seat, along with that of his traveling companion, on Flight 777 to let Howard fly in their place.

Après qu'un agent secret britannique a été tué à Beyrouth par des communistes, le Colonel MacGillivray persuade le docteur Jason Love d'aller au Moyen-Orient pour trouver ce que cet agent avait découvert. Parce qu'il a fait un peu de renseignements pendant la guerre, Jason accepte en s'attendant à un peu d'aventure au soleil. En route pour le Liban, il rencontre un mannequin, Vikki, et décide de prendre l'avion suivant pour rester avec elle. En voyant l'avion qu'il aurait dû prendre exploser peu après le décollage, Jason se rend compte que cette mission est plus sérieuse qu'il ne le pensait. À Beyrouth, il apprend que les communistes prévoient d'assassiner le Prince Zahlouf, proche des Britanniques, dans le but de compromettre des accords sur le pétrole. Bien qu'il fasse échouer la tentative d'attentat, il est obligé de se réfugier sur le toit d'un château pour échapper à la foule en colère. Il y est secouru par un hélicoptère russe, la "colombe de la paix". Jason y retrouve Vikki. Elle essaye de le sauver mais est abattue. Jason arrive néanmoins à sauter de l'hélicoptère. Un message de MacGillivray lui propose une autre mission, mais il décline l'offre.

During World War I, in the British trenches at Passchendaele, an army private, Arthur Hamp (Tom Courtenay) is accused of desertion. He is to be defended at his trial by an officer, Captain Hargreaves (Dirk Bogarde). Hamp had been a volunteer at the outbreak of the war and was the sole survivor of his company but then decided to 'go for a walk': he had contemplated walking to his home in London but after more than 24 hours on the road, he's picked up by the Military Police and sent back to his unit to face court-martial for desertion.

In 1957, Juno (Susan Strasberg), an American archaeology student, is visiting Cyprus and staying with the family of her father's best friend, Dr Andros (Joseph Furst). She witnesses an attack by two EOKA gunmen which results in the death of two British soldiers, but is unable to identify the killers to the local British intelligence officer, Major McGuire (Dirk Bogarde).
