Si sa jeune carrière s'oriente plus vers le théâtre que vers le septième art, Diane Fleri a néanmoins tourné deux films : Comme toi... (1999) de Gabriel Muccino (sa première expérience cinématographique), et plus récemment, en 2007, Mon frère est fils unique, de Daniele Luchetti. Très remarqué, ce film sur l'Italie des années de plomb a été sélectionné au Festival de Cannes, dans la sélection officielle Un Certain Regard. Fleri y tient un rôle central.
En plus de sa carrière théâtrale, (elle devrait prochainement monter sur les planches parisiennes avec une pièce intitulée Que faire), Diane Fleri prépare plusieurs films et travaille à la télévision italienne, où elle tiendra un rôle dans une série TV.

In Italy burden of the economic crisis three men in Rome: Ulisse, Fulvio and Domenico decide to rent an apartment together in order to live with their modest work. However the three encounter any difficulties that have forced them to always be one step away from starvation. Ulisse has to maintain his wife and daughter selling recordings of important foreign singers, Fulvio has the task of reviewing silly scandals of celebrities instead of writing articles for major artists, while Domenico must keep his wife and children going to make love with old single pensioners. At the end of the story the three, despite all the difficulties, able to have a little luck in their lives.

Salvo and Valentino are two Sicilian friends who have moved to Turin, and now run a small business specializing in tourism. Accio (Elio Germano) and Manrico (Riccardo Scamarcio) are working class brothers who live in Italy in the 1960s. While his brother becomes drawn into left-wing politics, Accio, the hotheaded younger brother, is taken under the wing of a market trader and while under his influence, joins the Fascist party. Accio ("Bully") is a nickname he is proud of because it makes him seem tough. Manrico and their sister Violetta are alarmed to hear their brother listening to Benito Mussolini's speeches in his room. Manrico often physically torments his brother, including stuffing his head in the barrel under the drain pipe of their house.

The movie is a tale about a young boy aroused by the sexual awakenings and the political views of the Italian youth. It's set around a group of friends. Silvio (the main character), Ponzi (his best friend) and a group of boys and girls that go to the same school. The school everybody goes to is threatened of being privatized. So the students are gathered to decide whether to occupy the school or take a different action. The most radical kids end up setting the tone of the oncoming manifestation and so the school is going to be occupied. In the night the friends gather, girls in one place and boys on the other. They smoke and share experiences. Martino tells the boys that he's had sex with his girlfriend, and that he can last about ten minutes. On the other hand, as the girls chat, his girlfriend tells her friends that it was all very fast.
