Dulce María Espinosa Saviñón ([ˈdulse maˈɾi.a saβiˈɲon]; born December 6, 1985) is a Mexican actress and singer-songwriter. She's been part of several music projects, most notably pop group RBD from 2004 to 2009, which originated from the successful telenovela Rebelde (2004–2006), and sold 57 million albums around the world. Since 2009, after signing to Universal Music, Dulce María has released two solo albums: Extranjera (2010) and Sin Fronteras (2014).
Biography
Dulce's great aunt was the Mexican painter Frida Kahlo. Dulce's grandmother is Frida's first cousin. In 2007 Dulce María released Dulce Amargo, a book of poems and stories based on her life and her experiences in RBD.
She was chosen by the magazine Quién of Mexico, as one of the most beautiful 2006. In 2007, as well as in 2010 the magazine People En Español named her one of "50 Most Beautiful." In the social support in 2009, Dulce Maria created the Foundation Dulce Amanecer to support communities of indigenous women and their children, as well as environmental protection. Also, in September 2009, the singer was chosen by Google, Save the Children and Chicos.net as representative of the Technology Yes campaign aimed at promoting the appropriate use of technology and the Internet among children and youth. In 2010 the magazine People En Español named her one of "50 Most Beautiful".
Dulce María had an on-again, off-again relationship with Alfonso Herrera from 2002 to 2005. They met while filming Clase 406, later also working together in Rebelde, consequently being bandmates in RBD until the band's departure. She briefly dated goalkeeper Guillermo Ochoa in 2005. She also dated her Verano de Amor co-star Pablo Lyle from 2008 to 2009 and was in a relationship with Mexican entrepreneur Luis Rodrigo Reyes from 2011 to 2015.
