Eddie McGee (born February 24, 1979) is an American film and television actor and winner of the first season of the American version of Big Brother in 2000. McGee, an amputee who lost his left leg to cancer at the age of eleven, has been involved in the sport of wheelchair basketball and has also achieved notoriety as a character actor in a number of television and film appearances which portray active amputees in mainstream roles.

About eighty people are horrified to wake in a strange institutional setting, with the only common factor between them the knowledge that prior to their abductions they witnessed a sudden flash of white light. A voice in their heads demands that they all participate in a gruesome race to the finish. The rules are that they must all participate and that if they stray from the marked paths in any way or if they are lapped twice, they will die. Only one person will survive. Living in Manhattan, Tom (Zach Braff) is a cook who has a hard time holding down his job. His wife, Sofia (Amanda Peet), is an attorney. When their first child is born, they agree that she will be a full-time mom and he will work to get a promotion. When Tom gets fired over defending his friend Paco (Yul Vazquez), he takes a job in Ohio working at the ad agency where his father-in-law is the assistant director. Tom is assigned to report to Chip (Jason Bateman). Chip is a competitive and hard-driving wheelchair-using man who is coincidentally Sofia's ex-boyfriend from high school. Chip still carries a desire for her, so he conspires to make Tom's work life miserable. As Tom's frustrations mount, Chip begins to sway Sofia to his side.
