Elza Kephart (born 1976) is a Canadian filmmaker. She is perhaps best known for Graveyard Alive: A Zombie Nurse in Love (2004), a film that she wrote, directed and produced. The film was well received by critics who appreciated its camp horror and feminist motifs, while at the same time harkening back to more traditional days of black and white, Techniscope widescreen. A native of Montreal, Kephart works and films out of her hometown with Bastard Amber Productions, a company she founded in 2002 with the creation of Naughty Soxxx, a series of pseudo-porn vignettes featuring socks.
Her 2006 release Beyond the Pearly Gates of Ill Repute, co-directed with Elizabeth Lawrence, premiered at the Fantasia Festival.
Kephart was assistant to Tony Goldwyn while he directed The Last Kiss (2006) and she provided computer support for The Greatest Game Ever Played (2005).
She also appeared in a 2009 documentary Pretty Bloody: The Women of Horror.
