Roach, de son vrai nom Eric Denis, est un réalisateur canadien.

À l’âge de 14 ans, Eric Denis s’est enfui d’une maison de détention pour jeunes. Pendant plus de six ans, il a vécu dans la rue, dormant dans les parcs, les automobiles abandonnées, les refuges ou la prison. Il fait face à plusieurs arrestations pour des contraventions s’élevant à plusieurs milliers de dollars encore impayés à cause du squeegee. Aujourd’hui, à l’âge de 26 ans, après avoir été le sujet du documentaire S.P.I.T.: Squeegee Punks In traffic, il a terminé son premier film, RoachTrip, sur la communauté punk qui sillonne les routes du Québec jusqu’à la vallée de l’Okanagan en Colombie-Britannique. RoachTrip a gagné la 2e place dans la catégorie Portrait au festival de film Movie-Eye/Kino-Glaz à Tver en Russie en août 2004. En août 2006, il se présenta aux élections fédérales dans la circonscription d'Outremont et termina avec 101 votes. De cette expérience est né le documentaire Punk Le Vote.

Son dernier documentaire, Les Tickets, traite des tactiques policières et municipales pour emprisonner les sans-abri de Montréal pour non-paiement d'amende, contraventions contractées à la suite de leur situation sociale et pour la simple raison de vivre dans l'espace public.

While Roach proposes to reform the "rotting electoral system" as he calls it, Starbuck's punk rock performance art is designed to shock the electorate into waking the up. Roach mounts a media campaign proposing proportional representation; Starbuck campaigns door-to-door wearing a leather cape and a dildo, telling voters: "If you like it up the a**, vote Liberal!".
