The Stooges are street peddler greeting card salesmen who anger a man on the street after an accidental altercation. They are then approached by a woman (Evelyn Young) with a request to help her make her evil man-hating husband (Richard Fiske) jealous. Realizing it the same man they faced before, the Stooges defend themselves against the irate husband with their usual combatives and flee from the husband shouting his threats. In hiding from him, they line up on a queue that takes them to a recruitment office by mistake and end up joining the army.

The Stooges are working as singing waiters at a restaurant and meet two doctors (Vernon Dent, John Tyrrell) who ask them to cheer up Betty Williams, a little girl who is sick from grief because her father (Ned Glass), a bank cashier, has been kidnapped while delivering $300,000 worth of bonds. After the Stooges, as little girls with blonde sausage curls, fail to cheer her up, they volunteer to find the girl's father. The doctors give them a brief description of the father (middle-aged, bald-spot, an anchor tattoo, and 5'10" in his stocking feet). He and Betty like to yodel to each other, something Curly seems rather adept at.

After admonishing his butler Jamison (Eric Blore) for conning money and adding a rare Cuban stamp to his coveted collection, former jewel looter and current detective Michael Lanyard (Warren William, also known as the Lone Wolf, flies back to Miami from Havana. He meets the gorgeous Patricia Lawrence (Frances Robinson) on board the plane. Initially shy, Lawrence decides to confide in Lanyard about her troubles — one of her mail-sender boyfriend Scotty's (Bruce Bennett) clients was killed some time ago after assigning Scotty to send a package stashed with dollar notes. Descending at the Miami airport, they are ambushed by kidnappers Chimp (Edward Gargan), Mr. Lee (Lester Matthews), and Big Joe Brady (Don Beddoe). The swift Lone Wolf outruns the criminals with Lawrence. He hides the retrieved stack of money in a hotel safe, but is discovered by Inspector Crane (Thurston Hall) and his assistant Dickens (Fred Kelsey), along with Miami police head Captain Moon (Jed Prouty). Lanyard evades capture and sets out to arrest the three villains on his own. The detective also realises that his prized stamp collection has also been swiped away by Big Joe Brady. He manages to track them down and has the police arrest them. Exonerated, the Lone Wolf mulls over missing an important stamp convention.
