Biography
Après ses études à l'Université de Cagliari, il se installe à Barcelone, où il a assisté à la maîtrise en Photographie dell'Idep – Escuela de Fotografía IDEP de Barcelona. Depuis 1996 dirige le V-art (Festival Internazionale Immagine d’Autore). Il a exposé ses photographies et ses installations d'art vidéo dans les musées et galeries de plusieurs villes comme Venise (Biennale della videoarte), Tokyo (Ayoama University), Londres (Watermans Arts Centre), Paris (Maison d’Italie), Madrid (Museo del Rejna Sofia), Milan (Biennale della Videoarte), Rome (Teatro Vittorio). Le film est inspiré par l'histoire vraie d'un jeune Américain de quatorze ans qui se suicida à la suite d'une séquence dramatique de graves actes d’intimidation à l’école et de la cyber-intimidation à laquelle il est soumis sur les réseaux sociaux. Cette histoire est liée à celle d'autres adolescentes gays, lesbiennes et trans, victimes d'agressions homophobes, tués ou induits à se suicider dans différentes parties du monde. Le 17 mai 2071, soixante ans après la mort du jeune protagoniste lors de la Journée mondiale de lutte contre l'homophobie, un groupe d'artistes se trouve uni dans une performance commémorative qui va traverser toute la journée.

Il Rosa Nudo (Naked Rose) is a film inspired by the life of Pierre Seel. The film focuses on an episode which will mark forever the existence of Pierre Seel, who was imprisoned by the Nazis at the age of seventeen: deported to the Schirmeck concentration camp, he witnessed the atrocious death of his partner. After the war he didn't speak to anyone about the reason for his imprisonment, and eventually he married and had three children.
