Biography
Imogen was twice married - firstly to actor Kenneth Ives, they had a daughter before they were married called Melanie Ives Hassall but she died four days after being born in 1972. She was then briefly married to Andrew Knox, the actor who appeared in Doctor on the Go and who later committed suicide in 1987. They separated after a few months of marriage and Imogen lost the baby she was expecting.Her private life was a regular subject of interest in tabloid newspapers. She was known for playing sexy, scantily-clad characters in film and on TV. This, and the revealing outfits she wore at film premieres resulted in her being publicly referred to as the "Countess of Cleavage".

Kenneth Williams and Barbara Windsor are imprisoned in a Pinewood Studios projection room and trawl through film can after film can of the classic Carry On series. Kenneth is delighted with the slap-up food hamper and champagne, while Barbara loads the vintage clips. As the films remorselessly play out, Kenneth feels the need to relieve himself but Barbara is determined to plough through every film. Finally, scenes of speedy roadside urinating from Carry On at Your Convenience prove too much for Kenneth to bear but he holds back the flow to enjoy his finest role as the Khasi in Carry On... Up the Khyber. While Kenneth pontificates about the glories of the Empire, Barbara leaves the projection room and locks her co-star in. Unable to hold out any longer, Kenneth goes against the projection room door.

The film centers on Richard Fountain, an Oxford don who has fallen under the influence of a mysterious Greek girl and her suspicious associates. Professor Sharpey commits suicide after subjecting himself to sensory deprivation experiments in a secret research laboratory. His former colleague Doctor Longman volunteers to undergo the same tests to try and establish what drove Sharpey to kill himself. He hopes to clear Sharpley's name with the police, who favour the theory that Sharpley was a double agent, perhaps allied with Communists, and that his death was the final result of his shame over betraying Great Britain. Longman begins subjecting himself to sessions in a sensory deprivation tank in order to prove that use of the technique can make one unusually suceptable to brainwashing or hypnotic suggestion.
