Biography

Allsop was born in the United Kingdom, and only a few months after her birth moved to the United States with her father, John Allsop and mother, Helen Allsop. Her father was a surgeon which is why they moved around a lot when Allsop was a young child. At two and a half, her family settled in Mont Albert in Melbourne, Australia. She attended Strathcona Primary School and Melbourne Girls Grammar. Her younger brother is comedian Thomas Alsop, aka. Tommy Dassalo.

Jane Allsop is married to actor David Serafin, who she met at aged 13 during acting class, but did not start dating him until years later. Serafin had guest roles on Blue Heelers during Jane's time on the show in 2001 and 2003. They currently live in Yarraville, Melbourne.

Tell Them Lucifer was Here tells the true story of the cold-blooded murders of Victorian Police Officers Gary Silk and Rodney Miller, who were gunned down in the line of duty in 1998, and the massive Police manhunt to catch their killers. The story centres on the investigation of the brutal murders under the direction of Detective Inspector Paul Sheridan and the Lorimer Taskforce. Tracking down the killers proved all but impossible, and it was only through outstanding detective work, dogged persistence, and sheer faith that the killers were brought to justice.
