Julien Seri est un réalisateur, producteur, dialoguiste et scénariste français né le 24 mai 1971 à 14e arrondissement de Paris. Il est aussi assistant-réalisateur.
En parallèle de son activité publicitaire, Julien a écrit plusieurs scripts (Yamakasi, Facteur chance, Légende de sang, etc.), et il réalise avec Les Fils du vent son premier long-métrage en 2003. Scorpion, son deuxième long métrage est tourné en 2005.
Julien a monté sa propre société de production, Daigoro Films, avec laquelle il coproduit un grand nombre de ses films publicitaires, ainsi que plusieurs courts métrages dont un réalisé par Michel Rodas (Bloody Pizza). Ce court a gagné le grand prix du festival de Cognac en 2003.
Sa société développe avec l’aide de différents auteurs, plusieurs de ses futurs projets.
Il a aussi 2 enfants : Elia Seri et Leian Seri.

Depuis 1992, Julien a réalisé plusieurs clips vidéos (Laurent Voulzy, Jil Caplan, Astonvilla, etc.) et des dizaines films publicitaires (Renault, Lexus, Garnier, Kookaï, Studio Magazine, Citroën, Toyota, Nestlé, Vittel, Nivéa, La Française des jeux) qui lui ont fait gagner de nombreux prix dont deux Lions de Bronze au festival du film publicitaire de Cannes en 1997 et 2006, ainsi que le grand prix du Club des Directeurs Artistiques en 2007, Le Marcus du public en 2003 au SATCAR (festival du film publicitaire automobile), ainsi que deux Lynx (Bronze et Argent) au festival du film publicitaire de Dubaï en 2009.En parallèle de son activité publicitaire, Julien a écrit plusieurs scripts (Yamakasi, Facteur chance, Légende de sang, etc.), et il réalise avec Les Fils du vent son premier long-métrage en 2003. Jef, employé à La Poste, se retrouve licencié avec ses collègues par un homme sans scrupules et malhonnête : Gilbert. Six parkour adepts (the Yamakasi without Châu Belle Dinh) open a gym in Bangkok. When the new gym starts to attract the area's kids, a local gang feels challenged. Their Eurasian leader Kien (Châu Belle Dinh) attacks the foreigners while they are having some extra training in a scaffold. They battle until police arrives. Both groups can scarcely escape. Logan (Charles Perrière) runs hereby into Kien's only sibling, his sister Tsu (Elodie Yung). Logan and Tsu, who obviously feel a mutual attraction, are right from the start about to become a modern version of "Romeo and Juliet".

The Yamakasi are seven young sport nuts of obviously different ethnic backgrounds who are all dedicated to parkour. They live in France in a banlieue, a ghetto especially designed for paupers and traditionally inhabited by immigrants from former French colonies. The motley group uses their sport to enjoy themselves without drugs and to gain recognition in a peaceful way. One morning, they are reported buildering the east side of the Bleuets building and evading the police after that. While they consider themselves good examples for youths in the banlieue, the local chief of police feels otherwise. From his point of view, they are reckless and dangerous individuals prone to become criminals while one of his men, Inspector Vincent Asmine believes they are dangerous only because children could hurt themselves by trying to emulate them. On this occasion each single member is introduced through his birth name and alias to the spectators of the film too: Zicmu (Ousmane Dadjacan), Tango (Jean-Michel Lucas), Rocket (Abdou N'Goto), the Spider (Bruno Duris), the Weasel (Malik N'Diaye), Baseball (Oliver Chen), and Sitting Bull (Ousmane Bana).
